On the occasion of World Telecommunication day, program organized and was celebrated by The Institution of Engineers- Udaipur local center and Computer Society of India. The topic was ‘ICT entrepreneurship for social impact” also talked about ICT rise and its social effects.
Mr. Shravan Kumar- Manager BSNL was the chief guest of the event, who spoke about the efforts, put in the same direction and also told the importance of its development. President of the institution - Mr. A. S. Chundawat provided the information about the activities. Dr. Bharat Singh Devda-Secretary of Computer Society of India shed light on CSI’s contribution and its usage in ICT.This Centre was established in year 1979.
The Institution of Engineers (India), Udaipur Local Centre is not only one of the most active centre in Rajasthan (out of six centre’s) but it is being rated one of the most active centre on all India basis as reflected by the appreciation received from Past President Er G. Prabhakar, and SDG Major General R.K Sannan .
The Centre has its own building & premises equipped with good furniture, a small library, Public Address System, two LCD projectors and a good garden with extended area 400 sq ft. Centre‘s infrastructure has been upgraded with new seminar hall, meeting hall, chairman and secretary office, two ac guest rooms, with Solar water heater facility, Solar power system of 1 KW /2 KW, pantry, small bridge connecting seminar hall and main gate.
