The dates for the national-level management aptitude test, Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2017, conducted by Jamshedpur-based Xavier School of Management,
Xavier Labour Relations Institute (
XLRI) have been announced.
The pen and paper mode exam will be conducted on January 8, 2017. The timing is between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm. It will be conducted at different exam centres across the country.

Application Procedure
In order to be able to appear for XAT 2017, candidates will have to register for the exam. The registration will be done through the official website.
Important Dates to be Remembered :
- Registration started -17 August 2016
- Registration ends- 30 November 2016
- Last date to apply with late fee- 11 December 2016
- Admit Card download- 20 December 2016
- Exam Date - 8 January 2017

XAT is one of the toughest MBA entrance exams in India and a valid XAT score opens your gates to many business schools apart from XLRI. More than 100 B-Schools throughout the country offering PGDM, MBA and other management courses accept XAT scores. XLRI offers three two-year management programs. They are -
- Human Resource Management (HRM)
- Business Management Program (BM)
- Global MBA Program
In 2015, there were a lot of changes that were introduced in the exam pattern. However, there has been no announcement of the change in exam pattern in 2016.
