XLRI Xavier School of Management had its 63rd Convocation Ceremony on March 23rd 2019. Padmashri Anu Aga addressed the Convocation Ceremony.

XLRI Holds its 63rd Convocation

XLRI Xavier School of Management had its 63rd convocation ceremony on 23rd March 2019. The students of XLRI Xavier School of Management attended the convocation in the presence of various dignitaries like chairman of the Board of Directors, T V Naraendran, at XLRI Xavier School of Management, the director of XLRI Xavier School of Management, Fr. E Abraham, and Ashish K Pani who is the dean of academics at XLRI Xavier School of Management.

Around 518 students from XLRI Xavier School of Management received the graduating certificates, as well as medals. Out of the total number of graduating students, 182 students from PG programme in BM and 179 students received the same for PG programme in HRM.

The chairman of XLRI Xavier School of Management, T V Narendran, addressed the graduating students on various topics like the thinking process of corporate leaders as well as the uncertain dynamic nature of the corporate world. He emphasised on the five most important things that have impacted the corporate world. The 5 topics were - the impact of Sustainability &Climate Change, Digitalisation & Technology, inequality in the corporate world as well as the Geo-political impact and the emergence of Africa in the economic stage of the world.

Padmashri Anu Aga, Former Chairperson at Thermax LTD was also one of the guests at theXLRI Xavier School of Management, who had given the convocation address to the students. The XLRI Xavier School of Management has also given one of their prestigious awards ‘ Sir Jahangir Ghandy Medal for Social and Industrial Peace to her as well.

In her convocation address to the students, she urged them to focus on their career but also work on finding their purpose in life. For her, life should be beyond career and that one should look for a wider purpose in life.
