Youth and Heritage festival to be conducted by the Panjab University Zone- A has finally begun. The event started at the PGGC Sector 11 and will continue for another four days.
The event was inaugurated by MP Kirron Kher along with the college principal J.K Sehgal.
Regarding the theme of the event, Kirron Kher said to the students that everyone moves on with time and further change as the time passes but at the same time, people conserve and retain the Indian culture and tradition, its beauty and innocence.

She also pointed out the need for every college to be co-educational and also explained her views on the recent commercialisation of education.
While addressing the students, Principal, Professor J. K Sehgal said that he feels that with the help of the youth fests, one can interact and understand, in the best way, about the diverse cultural heritage prevalent in India.

On the first day, the students witnessed various musical events including:
- Indian Group Singing
- Classical Music
- Folk Songs
- Shabad
