Dear Student,
Both Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML) and National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad are well-known institutes that have a good reputation and are well known for their PGDM in Agri Business Management (ABM) course. However, it is important to note that IIML offers a Post Graduate Programme in ABM (PGP-ABM) course but both are equivalent in all aspects.
Please note that IIML will give you the advantage of the IIM brand name as well as benefits such as links to a vast alumni network, extensive research facilities, international student exposure programme etc. IIM Lucknow also ranks 4th in the NIRF 2020 Rankings for management institutes. MANAGE is also a very well-renowned institute that specializes in the field of agriculture education. Being a government institute under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare, it also provides excellent infrastructural facilities along with a strong alumni network. The course fee of both of these institutes is also quite similar, with IIML charging Rs. 9.20 lakhs and MANAGE at Rs. 8.25 lakhs.
If the fee difference does not matter to you, you should take a very close look at the programme structure of both of these courses. As an example, while the elective courses available at MANAGE are quite balanced, the electives at IIML are more marketing-oriented, which also affects the placements. Another thing you can compare is the admission process of both of these institutes.
