Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing my BSc in agriculture, I do have many friends who are pursuing the same. LPU is accredited by ICAR. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. Being Alumni of LPU, I would like to answer this question. At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, as per the official website of LPU, the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is defined as - Qualifying LPUNEST and Pass with 60% aggregate marks in: (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. LPUNEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPU NEST serves both the purposes. The eligibility criteria for getting a seat in the B.Sc Agriculture is to have passed 10+2 with 60% aggregate marks in subjects including English, Chemistry, Physics, Math OR Forestry OR Biology OR Agriculture OR a diploma in Agriculture which one must have pursued after class 10th. Also, one will be required to clear the LPUNEST exam. In case you have scored more than 70% marks in class 12, you will be exempted from the LPUNEST exam. English is a mandatory requirement but one may be exempted if you have qualified the exams in an English medium. Moreover, there is a 5% relaxation for SC and ST category students.
