Unbiased opinion. When compared to other government universities, I wouldn't say it's the best. If you can get into one of the government universities, go for it. LPU is India's first private university to receive ICAR accreditation. There are several private colleges in Maharashtra that accept payment for admission, but from what I've heard, they are not up to par. When it comes to faculty at LPU, the majority of the professors are PhD candidates who are excellent teachers and very helpful to the students.Unlike government universities, LPU faculty cannot miss classes. Faculty must also fulfil missed lectures by holding extra makeup classes at the conclusion of the semester. LPU is now looking for placements. Tata Rallis, NCDEX, Dhanuka, Smur Agro, Pragya, Reliance, and UPL were among the companies visited. LPU provides placement training through placement classes. It will prepare you for group talks and personal interviews by enhancing your communication skills and decreasing your anxiety. We anticipate that LPU will receive more placements in the future as a result of the increased diversity that company recruiters require. Work in the lab and on field is also beneficial. There are student organisations in agriculture, such as AGRINIANS and Agros, that you can join to further your education. For more details you can visit the website also.

LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio Seed, Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so.On an average the Agriculture students of LPU is offered and placed in the starting package of 5.5 TO 6 LPA(Fixed salary) while there may be cases of students getting less than that or more than that.Like I said, LPU will provide you the platform and the opportunity, but it is really you who have to go and perform on the platform being provided.

Indian Council of Agriculture Research every year conducts Admission tests followed by counseling and scholarships to deserving candidates in all the Central and State Agricultural Universities in India. The examination is termed as AIEEA. Besides this many state Agricultural Universities conduct separate entrance tests to admit students in agricultural and related disciplines. For example Uttar Pradesh conducts CATET exam for Admission in three Universities in U.P. CSAU andT , Kanpur, NDUA and T, Faizabad and CCSUA, Meerut. ICAR conducts a entrance exam to get admission in various agriculture colleges .If u get a rank or a/c to you merit u are asked to choose a college. But there are some universities which conducted their own entrance exam like Aacharya NG ranga agricultural university, Banaras Hindu university and Lovely Professional University (LPUNEST). BSc Agriculture is a 4-year undergraduate degree awarded by Indian Universities for 10+2 students preferably with Science stream. B. Sc. in Agriculture is considered as a professional degree by the Government of India. The course is not so popular among students but the demand for trained professionals in agriculture is very high. Well, the Eligibility for BSc In Agriculture is to get Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent with LPU NEST. Keeping in sync with the concept I found LPU course curriculum very employable. It believes in building expertise through well planned on-field implementation and testing of basic concepts in production, yield enhancement disease resistant and better shelf life of food and flora. Creating professionals to tackle the dogma from seed to stomach. It runs B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Programme ie for 4 years. LPU is a first private University having ICAR accreditation. Students learning healthy, sustainable organic farming practices practically on the campus. LPU’s Department of Agriculture is venturing production and promotion of organic farming yields on its campus. Hundreds of its B Sc Agriculture (Hons) students have engaged themselves to learn healthy, sustainable organic farming practices through their teachers at the University. Students from Agriculture department developed Experiment with Hydroponics And it is a novel technology in which the plants are grown in an artificial environment without soil. Various ensemble approaches like hydroponics, aquaponics and aeroponics are utilized. The growth rate of a hydroponic plant is 30 to 50 percent faster than a soil plant, grown under the same conditions. LPU students have undertaken aquaponic project to explore its sustainability and increasing awareness of this food production system. Aquaponics, a combination of aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (soilless plant farming), uses fish wastewater as a resource, circulating it through hydroponic grow beds where plants take up its nutrients. The filtered water is then recycled back through the fish tanks. In addition to this, LPU Campus is quite huge in all aspects, it has an excellent infrastructure, teaching facilities, experienced faculties and a target to produce industry-ready knowledgeable students. LPU is well known for its B.Sc(Hons) Agriculture course. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified, and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held. If a faculty wants a leave, either the makeup lectures are planned, or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. In this stream, as most of the work is fieldwork, every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks under the supervision of the staff. If I talk about placements, University provides separate placement-oriented classes, and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students. I want to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms.

One thing we should keep in mind before taking admission for such a course, is that the University we are choosing, must provide us deep and practical knowledge of the core subjects, must adapt for new technologies faster and the University’s environment should be healthy and clean and LPU does it all perfectly. LPU becomes India’s first Private University to get ICAR Accreditation. Among all 8 institutions evaluated at ICAR’s 22nd Board Meeting, LPU School of Agriculture was approved for accreditation with one of the highest ratings. LPU focuses on quality education a lot and all the professors of LPU are highly qualified and friendly, LPU also focuses a lot on practical knowledge and agriculture students of LPU has to go through various such practical tasks and projects which makes it very easy to understand the concepts and develop a deep knowledge of the subjects. Now, these were just some of the few advantages of LPU but there is much more good to say about LPU like it’s infrastructure, study environment, placements, cultural programs and what not, I can definitely say that LPU would be worth joining. Thank you! Good Luck.

Hi, One of my cousins graduated in this course from LPU and I will highlight some of the features. 1. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. 2. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. 3. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. 4. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. 5. University provides additional placement oriented classes and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. Thanks
