Anna University provides various scholarship programmes, fellowships and awards to financially support its students. These scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, based on the income criteria of their families. The university follows all the regulations set by the state and central governments while managing these scholarships.

The scholarships offered by Anna University are as follows:

Central Government Scholarships: Students can apply for these scholarships directly on the National Scholarship Portal, and the scholarship amount is directly transferred to their accounts.

Alumni Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded through endowments by private entities and batch-wise scholarships by alumni. Undergraduate students are awarded alumni scholarships yearly, subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA in the preceding year.

To be eligible for these scholarships, the students must meet the following selection criteria:

• Their parental income should not exceed the maximum limit per annum.
• They must have secured a specific percentage of marks in their qualifying examination for the first-year scholarship.
• Generally, students can receive only one scholarship.
