TNEA counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu for admission to various undergraduate engineering courses in Tamil Nadu. The TNEA counselling procedure comprises registration, document verification, and seat allocation.
Firstly, candidates have to register themselves online for the counselling process by providing their personal and academic details. After successful registration, candidates need to pay the counselling fee which is non-refundable.
Secondly, candidates have to attend the document verification process at designated TNEA facilitation centers. The original documents that need to be verified include 10th and 12th mark sheets, transfer certificate and community certificate (if applicable).
After the successful completion of document verification, candidates have to fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses online. Based on the seat availability and their preferred choices, the seat allocation process will take place.
Candidates can accept the seat allotted to them or opt for an upward movement to a better college or course during the subsequent rounds of counselling. Finally, candidates have to report to the allotted college with the necessary documents and complete the admission process within the stipulated time. Candidates need to keep themselves updated with the latest information regarding the counselling procedure and follow the guidelines carefully to secure a seat in their preferred college and course.
