LPU offer various courses in Agriculture.Here is some of the courses are B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture,M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy),M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics and Plant Breeding),M.Sc. Ag. (Soil Science and Agriculture Chemistry),M.Sc. Ag. (Entomology),M.Sc. Ag. (Plant Pathology) and many more. The School of Agriculture at Lovely Professional University (LPU) takes a scientific approach to both agriculture and pedagogy. The curricula here are benchmarked against IOWA State University and PURDUE University of USA. Providing high quality research education for a wide range of agriculture programs, each course includes extensive hands on learning. This is facilitated through crop production on the vast lands of the university, nursery raising for horticulture crops, crop and seed identification lab, soil and water sampling/analysis, soil description/interpretation lab, manure identification lab, and vegetable crop production lab. No effort is spared to develop well informed leaders of the agriculture field. Once, agriculture relied heavily on harmful chemical fertilizers and toxic pesticides, leaving that trend behind, LPU Department of Agriculture has undertaken the production and promotion of organic farming yields, on the campus. Hundreds of its students are involved in this endeavor. They are learning healthy, sustainable farming practices and witnessing how organic agriculture enriches the soil and increases the long-term yield, nutrient value and potency of crops, season by season. LPU Agriculture students are also learning Green House (Poly House) production, Tissue culture, Collection of Plasma, usage of natural resources and compost, and floriculture. Most importantly they are learning to be entrepreneurs who know how to get the best out of the smallest piece of land, and leave it even more enriched.

School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University is the first private school accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. LPU offers courses in agriculture ranging from Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. Agri) to Doctorate in different specializations in Agriculture. Agriculture is 16 years (i.e. on or before 31st December 2023) . The LPU agriculture programme is outlined and conveyed with a target of wholesome development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with up to date curriculum designed to suits the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The school offers world class equipped laboratories, library and faculty for one to one assistance. Special emphasis is given to students for hand on training experience by assigning live projects in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. 90% of the students of B.Sc. Agriculture got placed with a maximum package of 23 LPA [DE SHAW INDIA PVT LTD] and an average package of Rs. 3.3 LPA. After completion of the B.Sc agriculture degree, students can find widespread carrier opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors. They can work in different sectors in various capacities such as Project Managers, Agriculture officers, Quality Analysts, Agricultural consultants, Research scientists, and Professors or even start their business and become an agro-entrepreneur.
