I am from Gwalior, MP and currently pursuing LLB. Can I pursue Fashion Law after LLB? What to do to become a Fashion Lawyer in India? What is the eligibility criteria? Do I need to pursue an LLM or any Diploma for the same?

Dear Student,

If you are currently pursuing an LLB course and are interested in Fashion Law afterwards, you can definitely do so by either completing a Certificate in Fashion Law or a Diploma in Fashion Law after your LLB degree. You also have an option to pursue LLM in fashion design, business, or textile engineering etc. The eligibility criteria to become a fashion lawyer in India includes completion of LLB followed by an LLM or completion of a certificate or diploma course in fashion law. Further, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in their LLB degree final exams to pursue further advanced level courses. Candidates also need to have at least 55% marks in their postgraduate degree final exams or 50% minimum marks in the diploma or certificate course to become a fashion lawyer in India. In order to get brilliant job opportunities in future, students must also ensure that all the degrees and courses completed by them are from recognised universities or institutions.
