Dear Student,
Spot counselling is the last round of counselling, usually organized by the respective colleges/universities to fill the remaining vacant seats after the completion of the official admission process. If you were not able to secure a seat or are dissatisfied with the allotted seats in the initial counselling rounds, or if you want to take admission in the same college but under a different course/ programme, then you may participate in the spot round. However, you should know that spot-round counselling does not guarantee a seat. We suggest you check the respective college website to know all the important details related to the seat matrix, documents required, and eligibility criteria for spot round counselling before proceeding. You may also check what is spot round in JoSAA counselling if you are looking for seats in the IITs and NITs.
Good Luck!
