Dear Piyush,
At NMIMS Mumbai, admission to its various B.Tech programmes is based on NMIMS CET. Every year, the university conducts the NMIMS CET exam in multiple cities across the country as a part of the NMIMS Mumbai admission process for B.Tech. It prepares and releases the NMIMS Mumbai B.Tech merit list based on the NMIMS CET scores obtained by the candidates. Only candidates whose names appear on the merit list are called for the NMIMS Mumbai B.Tech counselling process.
In the counselling session, students are provided with admission to various its various B.Tech specialisations as per their merit, choice of specialisation, and availability of seats in that particular specialisations. Finally, students must pay the admission fee and participate in the document verification round to secure final admission. Therefore, if you have taken the NMIMS CET, it is not guaranteed that you will be called for counselling. You must score well and make it to the merit list to be invited for the counselling session. I hope I have been able to clarify your doubt.
