The food technology is related to preservation, processing and packaging of food products while food & nutrition is related to the quality and nature of the food. Food technology comprises of processes and techniques that are used to transform raw products into food. On the other hand, Food & Nutrition comprises skills required to process and preserve components of nutrition. Some of the undergraduate programs available in food technology are B.Tech in Food Technology, B.Sc in Food Technology while courses available in Food & Nutrition are BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics and BSc in Food Science. Both programs offer good job opportunities. You can choose any field depending on your interest. If you are interested in managing the process related to food processing then you can go for food technology and if you are interested in learning about nutrition then you can go for food & nutrition.
