Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, is the authority that conducts admission and for counseling AP NEET 2025 admissions. Candidates must register and fill out the AP NEET application form 2025 before the deadline to secure admission to MBBS seats under their respective categories. Only those candidates who complete and apply by the specified date will be considered for inclusion in the AP NEET merit list 2025 and counselling. Candidates listed in the AP MBBS merit list 2025 will undergo document verification, leading to the publication of the final merit list. Only those on the final merit list will be invited to participate in AP NEET counseling 2025 for admission to medical colleges. Andhra Pradesh MBBS Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification: Candidates seeking admission in Andhra Pradesh medical colleges MBBS or BDS courses must have passed class 12 (or other equivalent exams) with Biology/ Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Physics in order to appear for the state’s counselling rounds. The minimum aggregate that candidates are required to score in class 12 is as follows:

Native Students of Andhra Pradesh: 85% of the total seats in medical colleges are reserved for candidates belonging to the state. These seats are further divided into 85% seats reserved for local candidates and 15% for local as well as non-local candidates. The following are the criteria for Andhra Pradesh native students:

  • Candidates who have studied in local institutes of Andhra Pradesh for at least 4 years consecutive years. The last academic year of the candidates in the institute should be the same as the year of NEET 2025.

  • Candidates who have lived in the state for four consecutive years including the year of application of NEET as the last year.

  • For candidates who have lived in more than one local region for seven consecutive years with the seventh year as the NEET exam year, then the region where the candidate has spent a maximum number of years will be considered.

  • If the number of years spent in all the regions is equal, then the region where the candidate has last studied will be considered.

  • The rules will be similar for students who have stayed in either of the Andhra Pradesh regions for seven consecutive years but have not studied in the same region.

Domicile Holders: Candidates seeking admission in Andhra Pradesh MBBS courses under the domicile quota will have to qualify the following criteria for eligibility of AP domicile holders:

  • Candidates must be local residents of Andhra Pradesh as defined by the Presidential orders.

  • Either the candidate or one of the parents must have lived in the state for at least 10 years.

  • Either one of the parents of the candidate or his/ her spouse must be employed either by the Central government, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Universities, Public Sector Corporations Local Bodies or any other similar public institution under the governance of Andhra Pradesh.

Nationality: Only those candidates who are either Indian Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) can apply for Andhra Pradesh MBBS admissions

Age: Candidates seeking admission to Andhra Pradesh MBBS colleges must be born between May 7, 1994, and January 1, 2003.

Andhra Pradesh MBBS Admission 2025: Application Process

  • Candidates will have to apply for Andhra Pradesh MBBS admissions online and the application forms will be provided by the MCC.
  • In order to complete the application form, candidates will have to fill in all their personal details, and academic details along with the NEET details.
  • The application process for admissions will be completed only when the candidates pay the application fees.
  • The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen to take admission in the MBBS course in the medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates who possess the OCI card (Overseas Citizen of India) will also be eligible to take admission in the MBBS and BDS courses offered by the medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh.
  • As per the domicile, the candidates must have the local domicile of the state.
  • The age of the applicants needs to be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is taken.
  • Candidates must have passed 12th/equivalent exam from a recognized board of secondary education.
  • Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/ Biotechnology and English at the higher secondary level.
  • Candidates must have secured 50% marks at the higher secondary level of the examination.
  • The candidates of the reserved category will be eligible to take admission in the medical colleges with 45% marks.

Andhra Pradesh MBBS Admission 2025: Selection Process

NEET 2025 is the mandatory exam for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Andhra Pradesh medical colleges for the session 2025-23. Candidates will have to apply for AP MBBS admissions through their NEET scores and the basis that they will be allotted state ranks in the AP MBBS merit list.

Andhra Pradesh MBBS Counselling 2025

Andhra Pradesh MBBS counselling takes place after the final merit list has been declared by the MCC Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who will apply for AP medical counselling will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences basis which the final admissions will be conducted. If seats remain vacant after the counselling round, they will be filled in the mop-up rounds. The Andhra Pradesh MBBS Admission 2025 will be conducted for the candidates who have cleared the exam and their name is in the Andhra Pradesh NEET merit list. The candidates who have qualified for the exam will be called for the Andhra Pradesh MBBS Counselling 2025. As per updates, the counselling is expected to be conducted in August- September, 2025. The AP NEET counseling 2025 will be conducted in three rounds: the first, second, and mop-up. Before the commencement of AP MBBS counseling, aspirants must select their preferences for colleges and courses. Based on these choices, available seats, NEET results, reservation criteria, and other relevant factors, admission to AP MBBS course will be granted. A candidate’s eligibility will be verified based on the uploaded copies of scanned certificates/documents. The exam conducting authority will check various documents to provide MBBS/MS/MD admissions in Andhra Pradesh medical colleges.

Documents Required for Andhra Pradesh MBBS Admission 2025

To become a student in the MBBS colleges of Andhra Pradesh, a candidate mandatorily will have to appear and qualify in the NEET 2025 test after which the interested candidates can apply online for the seats through AP MBBS 2025  counselling. After filling the application form with required personal and academic credentials, the candidates will need to pay the application fees. The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences conducts the counselling and candidates will be required to fill their choice of colleges and courses while filling out the application form.     Andhra Pradesh MBBS Admission 2025 Merit List

    The provisional merit list of candidates who applied online in response to the notification issued by Dr. YSRUHS for seats in MBBS course will be released based on their NEET UG 2025 scores. This Andhra Pradesh MBBS merit list will be released after the university and relevant department officials verify the certificates uploaded by the candidates per eligibility rules and regulations. The provisional merit list will be available on the University’s website: i.e. drysr.uhsap.in.
