BA Mathematics Eligibility Criteria in India

In order to qualify a BA Mathematics eligibility criteria in India, you as an aspirant are required to ensure that you have cleared your class 12 board examination. That is the basis of all admissions to any undergraduate course in India. However, for BA Mathematics in India:

  • Candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate score of 45% - 50% in the qualifying exam.

  • Since its a mathematics course, it is imperative that you, an aspirant, has cleared and scored above the minimum required mark in Mathematics in 10+2.

  • Being a Bachelor of Arts degree, candidates from all streams and disciplines are eligible to pursue the course in India.

B.Sc Mathematics Eligibility Criteria in India

The B.Sc Mathematics eligibility criteria in India states that the aspirants are able to pursue the course in any one of the colleges in India. As per the trend:

  • Aspirants should have cleared their class 12 board examination in the stream of science from any recognised board of education in India.

  • Depending on the college offering the course, candidates will also be required to have secured 50% aggregate score or more in the qualifying exams with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Being a mathematics course, it is imperative that the candidates have cleared all Mathematics exams at 10+2 level.

BA Mathematics and B.Sc Mathematics Admission Process

In India, to take admissions to one of the Mathematics courses at the undergraduate level are usually done based on qualify the eligibility criteria. However, there are no national or state-level entrance exams conducted in India, while, some universities or institutes may conduct University-level entrance exams to offer admissions to the course.

In most cases, admissions will be offered on the basis of merit. The merit of a candidate will be calculated using the scores obtained in the qualifying exam. Meanwhile, in cases of the university-level entrance exams, candidates will be selected based on their performance in the entrance exam.
