One of the five-year integrated law courses known as the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA LLB) leads to a professional law degree. The combined law and business administration curriculum known as BBA LLB teaches students both legal and business ideas. The knowledge and comprehension of Commerce courses like Principles of Management, Financial Accounting, Effective Communication, Computer Applications, and so on are initially distributed to candidates pursuing BBA LLB. BBA LLB Admission Eligibility Criteria

The students who meet the eligibility criteria will get the chance to fill up the application form and appear for the entrance tests. The following criteria for the students are given below:

  • Law aspirants must clear their class 12 from a recognized board with any discipline, Science, Commerce or Arts. Students who have already appeared for their 10+2 exam but are waiting for their results can also fill-up the form.
  • The General category candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks in their 10+2 while Reserved category students must pass their 10+2 with 40% aggregate marks.
  • The Bar Council of India (BCI) did not possess any maximum age limit for the students who want to study BBA LLB.
  • The BBA LLB programme accepts applications from students who have finished their 12th grade in economics, English, and statistics. These students are recommended applicants. Candidates for admission to the BBA LLB programme who completed a law diploma after finishing high school are also eligible.

BBA LLB Admission Entrance Exams

There are various national, state, and university entrance exams held throughout India for admission to the BBA LLB programme. The following is a list of some of the most popular BBA LLB entrance exams:

CLAT: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) administers the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a national exam. Admission to 120 higher education institutions across India's undergraduate law degrees, such as BBA LLB, only occurs once a year in June. There are 150 total points available on the two-hour online test. The CLAT 2023 exam was conducted on December 18, 2022.

LSAT India: The LSAT India is a prestigious entrance exam for Indian law universities' five-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes. It puts to the test the critical thinking abilities necessary for success in law school. The LSAT India exam is given twice a year to applicants seeking admission to reputable legal schools and colleges.

AILET: The National Law University in Delhi administers the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), a university-level law entrance test, to select students for admission to its five-year BBA LLB degree, LLM programme, and PhD programmes. For admission to the BBA LLB programme, more than 20,000 applicants take the AILET exam, which is offered just once a year.

SLAT: The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), which is required for enrollment into five-year integrated law programmes, is administered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Pune, SLS Noida , SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur are the four law schools that operate under the auspices of SIU and offer legal studies programmes. Integrated programmes including BA LLB (Hons. ), BBA LLB (Hons. ), BA LLB, and BBA LLB are offered by the institutes.

ULSAT: The University Of Petroleum & Energy Studies ( UPES ) administers the ULSAT for admission to its 3 year LLB, 5 year LLB (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BTech LLB), and LLM programmes. CBT is the format used for the entrance exam. There are MCQ-style questions on the test.

KLEE: For admission to government law institutions and government merit seats in private self-financing law colleges, the Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) 2022 is an entrance exam. Three-year LLB, five-year LLB, and LLM programmes in law are offered through KLEE. The KLEE centralized allotment process (CAP) for the distribution of seats in law colleges is open to applicants who pass the exam. In Kerala, there are approximately 20 private self-financing law colleges and 4 law colleges that take part in CAP.

At several test centers throughout the state of Kerala, the exam is administered using a computer-based test format. There are 200 MCQ-style questions in the KLEE exam. The exam lasts two hours and carries a total of 600 points. Exams are held separately for the 3 year, 5 year, and LLM programmes in law.

ILSAT: The ICFAI Law School administers the ICFAI Law Admission Test, also known as the ILSAT, to applicants seeking admission to its undergraduate law programmes. CBT is used to administer the law school entrance exam. English, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, GK/current affairs, and analytical reasoning are all topics covered in the admission exam.

MH CET Law: For admission to law programmes provided at participating law colleges in Maharashtra, the State CET Cell administers the MH CET Law, also known as the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law. The MHCET law 2022 exam lasts for two hours and is administered online using computer technology. There are 150 multiple-choice questions on the exam. In order to be considered for admission to 10,920 seats for the 5-year LLB programme and approximately 16,420 seats for the 3-year LLB courses programme, law aspirants must pass an entrance exam.

TS LAWCET: On behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), Hyderabad, Osmania University in Hyderabad administers the state-level legal entrance exam known as TS LAWCET. For admission to Telangana state universities and institutions' three-year and five-year integrated LLB programmes, the law entrance test is administered. Approximately 30,000 candidates signed up to take the TS LAWCET 2022 exam. The exam dates for TS LAWCET 2023 have not yet been announced.

BBA LLB Admission Process

The most well-known law entrance exams across India are CLAT, LSAT, and SLAT, and passing them is required for enrollment in the BBA LLB undergraduate programme at top public institutions and colleges. For admission to their BBA LLB degree, private institutes also conduct in-person interviews, administer their own examinations, and occasionally rely on national or state level entrance exams. The following steps must be taken in order to apply for BBA LLB admission determined by entrance exam:

Online Registration: Usually, law institutes and colleges permit registration prior to official admission. Law aspirants must create an account and provide some basic details, such as their complete name, email address, phone number, etc.

Filling Out the Form: The next step is to completely and accurately fill out the application form. It's crucial to confirm that the data shown here is true and accurate.

Submit all the necessary documents: Scan and upload any necessary documents, including transcripts from grades 10 and 12. (Diploma mark sheet, if any). These files must be uploaded in the format specified by the college or university's official website (e.g., a Docx file, a PDF file, a JPEG file, etc.).

Payment of Application Fee: A BBA LLB application fee must be paid online using Net Banking, NEFT, a Credit Card, or a Debit Card in addition to submitting the BBA LLB application form. Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC categories are granted a lot of wiggle room when it comes to application fees for the BBA LLB, which can vary between colleges and universities.

Accessibility of Admit Card: A week before the test, admit cards are made online. To utilize them on the day of the exam, candidates must download and print their admission cards. Important information on a candidate, such as their name, age, enrollment number, etc., will be included on their admit card.

Exam Day: Review the curriculum and the BBA LLB previous year's question papers to get ready for the test. Attend the examination on the day designated by the authorized conducting body and abide by each and every requirement listed on the admit card.

Result Announcement: Typically, results are announced a month or more after the exam date. A candidate advances to the next stage, the Personal Interview/Assessment, if they pass the BBA LLB admission test.

Admission and Counseling: Only students who have cleared the law entrance exams are eligible for counselling after passing a round of individual or group interviews (if any). The student can now apply to the BBA LLB programme after going through the counselling round.

BBA LLB Admission Syllabus

The five-year integrated BBA LLB curriculum includes courses in managerial economics, business fundamentals, organizational behavior, and accounting. Business studies and related fields are covered in-depth in the BBA LLB curriculum, along with legal topics like contract law, tort law, constitutional law, and company law. As a result, a BBA LLB student may choose to work in corporate law after earning their degree; otherwise, they may choose from any of the job opportunities open to BBA LLB graduates.

Anand Law College offers admission to BA LLB and BBA LLB programme at the UG level. At the PG level, LLB and LLM courses are offered. Admissions are done based on merit. Candidates need to pass 10 + 2 with 45% marks in case of general category and 40% marks in case of SC/ST category fpr UG admission. Candidates who are graduates from a recognised institution can apply for PG courses.
