CENTAC Hotel Management Admission: The Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) in Puducherry closed the window for challenging the CENTAC 2024 draft merit list on June 19. Candidates had the opportunity to raise challenges through their candidate login. The registration portal for CENTAC 2024 was open from May 8 to June 10, 2024, with the application form available on centacpuducherry.in. Any interested students were required to first apply before the deadline to be considered eligible.

CENTAC, set up by the Government of Puducherry, administers admissions for Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate course levels at all respective regional colleges. This eases admission by maintaining a Unified UTR with the centralised body of Colleges and Courses. CENTAC manages the Hotel Management courses within Group III. Through a single application form, a candidate can apply for more than one course as per their eligibility. The counselling process of CENTAC allots admissions at government colleges and government quota seats in government colleges.

Then, the preferred candidate and the authority will be allotted, and the authority will be the one to get admissions as per the merit list of candidates in the year 2024 of CENTAC. CENTAC 2024 Application Process For Puducherry Candidates:

• Registration: Begin by first registering on the official website. Fill in the details, such as your name, contact number, date of birth, and other vital information.
• Personal, Academic and Payment Details: After registering yourself, fill in the details about your personal, academic, and payment information. Make sure that all the details are accurate.
• Category and Course Selection: Choose the category to which you belong and the course to which you want to apply.
• Form Submission: On submitting the form, you will get an application number. This is an important number and hence should be kept saved for future reference.
• Document Submission: The printed copy of the filled-up online application form has to be sent along with the documents required, at the CENTAC office. You have to mention your application number in the top right corner of all the enclosed documents. You can send photocopies of the documents alone; do not send originals.

CENTAC 2024 Application Process For Other State/UT Candidates

• Application Form: Fill up the CENTAC online application form with your class 12th and/or entrance exam marks. Make sure this happens well before the last date.
• Document Submission: Along with the online application form duly filled, you will have to send attested copies of the documents in this respect. These would be sent through courier or by post to the CENTAC office at PEC Campus, Pillaichavady, Puducherry – 605 014.

Required Documents for CENTAC Hotel Management Application Form

When applying for CENTAC Hotel Management, candidates are required to submit certain documents along with their application form. Each document must be a scanned copy, self-attested by the applicant. Here's a list of the necessary documents:

CENTAC Merit List 2024

The merit list is prepared by the authority based on the marks that candidates obtain in the qualifying examination and scores in the entrance exam. The officials will release separate merit lists for candidates who will apply under Puducherry and other states. The names of all those who would be eligible for admission to the Hotel Management programs under the participating institutes shall be included in the CENTAC 2024 merit list. First, the authorities will release a draft merit list. Candidates can raise objections related to the same. After going through these objections, the final merit list will be published.

CENTAC Counselling 2024

The online counselling process is scheduled to commence for CENTAC 2024. Only those candidates whose names are on the CENTAC merit list will be eligible for this process. For the qualified candidates, choice filling and payment of counselling fees need to be done online. In the counselling of CENTAC 2024, a centralized system is followed where seats are allotted to the candidates according to their merit, category, and other eligibility criteria. Students who secure a seat will have to report to the concerned allotted institute to finalize their admission.
