Total NLU Seats in India

The total NLU seats in India and the CLAT 2025 reservation policy at different National Law Universities (NLUs) will decide the student's chance for admission to the law school. The CLAT 2025 seat matrix for admission to the UG and PG courses in total is 4616. 24 NLUs are participating in the exam and they offer 3,243 CLAT seats in undergraduate law courses and around 1373 seats in LLM courses. The CLAT 2025 seat matrix is distributed across different categories according to the reservation policy rules of the individual NLUs. Many NLUs offer domicile reservations from the total CLAT seats which means the number of seats will decrease for all India aspirants. The total NLU seats in India are distributed between UR, SC, ST, OBC and EWS category candidates.

The students who will be appearing for CLAT 2025 on December 1, 2024 should check out the number of seats offered by each NLU and select their preference accordingly. Every NLU has separate reservation policies and after the release of the CLAT result, the CLAT seat allotment list will be provided during the counselling round. Find the total NLU seats in India in this article and other important information.
