Cover the Entire CEED Syllabus

The syllabus comes first for any entrance and as this entrance is unlike other traditional design exams, it is advisable to go through a complete prescribed syllabus. The CEED 2025 syllabus will help candidates know the important topics and subjects. Also, having an understanding of all topics will add to maximum accurate attempts.

Know About the Exam Pattern

The CEED 2025 exam pattern is framed for candidates to be aware of the marking scheme of the overall exam, sectional mark division, types of questions, format and other factors. Knowing about the exam pattern benefits candidates in the preparation and final exam. Individuals who are familiar with the format and nature of questions are said to have a better chance of qualifying for the exam than those who are clueless about the pattern of the entrance exam.

Learn the Art of Time Management

Time management is one such skill that will make all the difference to your final exam day. So, candidates must keep a consistent watch on their solving time to analyse their speed. While preparing there must be a proper timetable which should also be relevant. Also, following it with consistency will help cover all the topics of the syllabus. With regular practice, students will also become aware of how much time should be spent on each topic and section during the exam preparation. It will also help during the main exam day to speed up and manage time and solve the questions with accuracy.

Solve Sample Papers Regularly

No one is aware of the kind of questions that might pop up in the CEED 2025 exam but solving sample papers and CEED 2025 mock tests provides an idea to understand the same. An individual gets the idea of how to approach the questions and fetch maximum marks. Solving CEED sample papers also increases speed and accuracy which are the two key factors to ace the exam.

Work on Your General Awareness

An applicant must not lose touch with national and international news. One should always stay updated and aware of the occurrences around the globe. Also since Environment and Social Awareness is an integral part of the CEED exam, an individual must keep his/her knowledge up to date.

Read, Read & Read

Reading newspapers, journals and magazines every day enhances general awareness and provides innovative ideas. Studying the work of a favourite designer can also help in understanding creative concepts and developing observational skills. One must not borrow the style of the designer and should keep his/her uniqueness intact.

Improve Your Visualization Skills

Since CEED is a design-oriented exam, an individual is majorly judged on visualisation skills and innovative approach. A candidate must practise from CEED past year question papers to be comfortable with the type of questions that appear in the CEED exam. It is also advisable to study the work of other creators and dissect their way of thinking. There are plenty of online and offline exercises that help in improving the visualisation skills of an individual.

Mastering Basic Sketching Techniques

Initiate your CEED sketching practice with simple sketches, paying attention to proportions, shapes, sizes, and line quality. Engage in daily design and creative exercises to enhance your skills. Prioritize consistent practice and critically review your sketches to progress effectively.

Carry Your CEED 2025 Admit Card

On the exam day, it is crucial to bring your CEED 2025 admit card and a valid identity card. Verify that the photograph and signature on your admit card are clear. Entry to the test venue will not be allowed without the CEED admit card for the year 2025.

Valid Identity Proof Requirement

Present an original photo identity proof along with the admit card for verification at the CEED exam centre. Acceptable proofs include a college-issued identity card, driver's license, passport, PAN card, Voter ID, Aadhaar card, or a printed e-Aadhar card. Failure to provide proper identity proof will result in denied entry.

Punctuality Matters

Report to the CEED 2025 exam centre on time with a colour printout of your admit card. This ensures the recording of biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) before taking the design entrance exam. Punctuality is crucial for a smooth examination process.

Don'ts for CEED 2025

Students must be aware of what not to do for the CEED 2025 exam. An individual must try and take note of the information provided below to get the best possible outcome.

Do Not Underestimate Sketching

Often applicants skip the sketching part and consider it to be simple and basic. However, it is very important to practice creative and design exercises and learn the minding proportions, size, shape and line quality. Students are advised to try free sketching as many time instruments are not allowed in the CEED exam.

Do Not be Consumed in Colouring Techniques

Being consumed in colouring techniques is considered to be a waste for applicants. As time is limited, engaging in fancy drawing techniques will limit the duration for other parts. Candidates must try to keep their sketches or drawings simple, narrow, neat and creative instead of diving deep.

Do Not Forget to Check Question Marks Before Attempting

Before answering any question, check the assigned marks. Questions with higher marks require detailed responses, including rough sketches, factors, and final solutions. Marks can range from 15 to 50, so prioritize questions based on their marks.

Do Not Forget to Adopt Efficient Sketching Techniques

When sketching, use no more than two pencil grades initially. Avoid adding extra shading from the start; you can address that after completing the exam if time allows. Managing your sketching approach effectively is essential.

Do Not go Overboard with the Portfolio

With so many collections and pieces to choose from an individual often makes the mistake of overstuffing the portfolio. It is always better to keep the best pieces as part of the portfolio and let go of not-so-great ones. Here is a detailed analysis of the importance of portfolios and tips to curate a perfect portfolio !

Do Not Practise from the Offline Mock Tests Only

An applicant must refrain from the practice of only solving the offline mock tests. It is advisable to practise a few online mock tests as well to get comfortable and well-versed with the online mode of the exam.

Do Not Skip Reading the Questions

It is important to read the questions carefully and quickly to understand what they demand. Applicants often make the mistake of answering what is not asked in the question. It often makes the answer irrelevant or insufficient. Always go through the questions twice and understand their essence before answering them.

Do Not Indulge in Unfair Practices

Steer clear of any unfair practices during the exam. Engaging in such practices will result in immediate cancellation of your candidature. Ensure you don't bring prohibited items like papers or books into the test lab.

Do Not Sign the Admit Card Before the Invigilator's Presence

Do not sign your admit card before entering the exam centre. Sign it only in the presence of the invigilator to ensure its validity. Also, verify that your signature matches the one uploaded during registration.

Do Not Have Conversations in the Exam Hall

Refrain from conversing with fellow candidates inside the exam hall. If you have any doubts, seek clarification from invigilators or test centre officials. Maintaining focus without disruptions is crucial during the examination.

Do Not Carry Electronic Gadgets

It must be noted that carrying any kind of electronic gadgets is not allowed in the exam centre. It includes calculators, watches, mobile phones or any other gadgets. In case any candidate is found with any of the prohibited gadgets they will stand disqualified from the examination.
