Gujarat PG Medical Counselling

Gujarat PG Medical Counselling 2024 registration process is expected to start in August 2024. Candidates need to purchase a 14-digit PIN for Gujarat NEET PG online registration. Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC) is solely responsible for conducting and organizing the counselling process. The Gujarat NEET PG 2024 counselling will be conducted in three rounds @medadmgujarat.org, followed by a mop-up round and an additional stray vacancy round if seats remain vacant.

Candidates who are included in the Gujarat NEET PG 2024 merit list are eligible to participate in the counselling. After the seat allotment, candidates must pay the admission fee of the institute at the designated Axis bank branch. Gujarat PG Medical Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria to participate in Gujarat PG Medical Counselling 2024:-

  • A candidate shall be an Indian Citizen

  • A Non-Resident Indian candidate who wishes to be admitted to Non-Resident Indian seats shall and have completed his or her MBBS / BDS or equivalent degree from a medical institution within or outside India and he/ she should have qualified the NEET-PG criteria defined by the competent authority.

  • Candidates must have recognized MBBS or BDS degree under the law of Government of Gujarat and he/ she should have finished the mandatory rotating internship by 31 March or before.

  • A candidate shall have to appear in NEET-PG Entrance Examination conducted for the year for which admission is being held in the respective year for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses and qualify in NEET-PG as per criteria laid down by the competent authority

  • A candidate who has secured admission under these rules in any year shall not be eligible for further admission to any other course until the course in which he/ she has secured admission may have been completed.

Gujarat PG Medical Counselling Application Process 2024

The steps for filling up the Gujarat PG Medical Counselling Application Process 2024 are explained below:-

  • The Admission Committee shall publish the date of admission, the last date of submission of the registration form, the courses offered and any other information on their official website or by any other means.

  • For registration purposes, as determined by the Admission Committee, the candidates shall be required to make payment in respect of the registration fee, and PIN from designated centres as determined by the Admission Committee.

  • A candidate seeking admission shall apply for the registration of his candidature within the time limit defined by the Admission Committee on their official website.

  • If a candidate has made more than one registration for the purpose of admission, the registration made at the later stage will be taken into account and the other registrations will be considered cancelled.

  • A candidate who has registered online once and wishes to correct/update his details can do at the admission committee office but they need to justify the need for change with valid documents

  • The receipt/confirmation can be obtained for the application received online. The applicant shall be given the registration number and date of his application in the receipt and the same shall be used as a reference in all future correspondence and also used in the merit list.

  • Candidates will receive a receipt/acknowledgment for an application that they have received online. Upon receipt of the confirmation, the applicant shall receive his registration number and the date of his application which may be used in the merit list and shall be used as a future reference.

Documents Required for Gujarat PG Medical Counselling

Self-tested photocopies of the following documents must be submitted along with the Gujarat PG medical application form at the time of counselling.

  • All year MBBS/ BDS Mark sheet with all Attempt Certificate

  • NEET-PG Mark-sheet of the current year

  • Eight-Month Internship Completion Certificate

  • School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate

  • For In-service candidates, study leave or NOC from the Government of Gujarat

  • Certificate of registration with Gujarat Medical / Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India

  • Caste certificate for a candidate from SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribes) and SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Classes) should be issued by an authority approved by the Government

  • Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate of the family, as per the prevailing policy of the Government, issued by the authority empowered by the Government (for SEBC candidates)

  • Certificate of Physical Disability issued and duly signed by the medical board constituted or medical officer authorized for the purpose (for physically disabled candidates)

  • Certificate regarding Medical Fitness

  • The NRI status documentary evidence for a candidate seeking to take admission to NRI seats.

  • The necessary proof of his minority status and his willingness to be admitted to the minority college/institution concerned as a candidate belonging to the minority community.

Reservation of Seats for Gujarat PG Medical Counselling

The reservation of seats as per the Government policy for Gujarat PG Medical Counselling 2024 are listed below:-

For Government Seats:-

  • 50% of available seats for admissions in each Government Medical and Dental College shall be reserved for the candidates under All India Quota who are allotted for admission by the Director-General of Health Services, Government of India, New Delhi.

  • After deduction of the seats referred in the first point, the remaining available seats in Government Colleges shall be distributed as 25% as Institutional Preference Seats and 75% as All Gujarat Students Quota Seats and in Government Seats of SFI Colleges.

All Gujarat Quota Seats and the seats reserved only for the candidate who is the origin of Gujarat and falls under the following categories, namely:-

For Management Seats:-

No candidate shall be admitted in the Professional Post-graduate Medical Educational Courses unless he fulfills the eligibility criteria including qualifying in NEET-PG as may be notified from time to time

Reservation for In-service:-

As per the policy of the Medical Council of India, New Delhi, the 5070 seats for in-service candidates who the Government of Gujarat sponsors shall be reserved in Government Medical Colleges in each category only in the Diploma Courses.

Reservation for Physically Disabled person:-

Three percent of the seats available in each category in government colleges and grant-in-aid colleges or institutions shall be reserved for motor-disabled candidates of the respective category. A candidate having loco-motor disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% (upper limbs being normal) shall be eligible to apply for admission in accordance with the guidelines/regulations of the Medical Council of India.

Gujarat PG Medical Counselling Process 2024

Candidates are selected through the NEET PG entrance exam based on their ranking. The admission committee publishes the online counseling schedule on their official website.

Seat allocation is made based on their merit. The seat allocation is released on the Admission Committee website. Candidates are required to take a printout of the information and bank fee receipt. The general AIQ NEET PG counselling 2024 has begun on September 15.

At the time of document verification if the Admission Committee considers any certificate or evidence or information provided by any candidate, wrong or false, then the candidate's admission for that year shall be cancelled and the aspirant shall be disqualified for admission for the next two years.

Candidates whose seats are confirmed shall pay the aforementioned tuition fee in accordance with the fee mentioned by the Fee Regulatory Committee. Upon payment of tuition fees, the seats assigned to the candidates shall be confirmed. In any case, if the candidate fails to pay the tuition fees within the prescribed time period, the candidate's admission will be cancelled. And in the successive counselling rounds, such candidates shall not be eligible for admission to the same course in the same institute.

Vacant Seats:-

After completion of the admission process, if any government seats and management seats remain vacant due to any circumstances, such vacant seats shall be displayed on the official website. All the colleges and institutions will be notified that the seats are vacant and the institution shall fill the remaining/vacant seats in accordance with the criteria laid down by the Government of India, Medical Council of India, New Delhi, and Dental Council of India.
