What is AIBE Certificate?
The AIBE Certificate, also known as the Certificate of Practice (CoP), is a written permission or license given to lawyers or advocates so that they can practice their legal profession in India. From 2009-2010 onwards, lawyers are instructed to obtain AIBE certificates from their State Bar Council after they have qualified AIBE. The aspirants will also have to pass AIBE within two years of their provisional enrollment, or they will have to renew their enrollment with the State Bar Council and appear in the next session of the bar examination. There is, however, no limit on the number of attempts that one can take for AIBE, which helps aspirants appear for the exam until they get the minimum qualifying marks. Aspiring lawyers thinking about how to get the AIBE certificate need to either visit the official website of their State Bar Councils or the official address to get their CoP.
The AIBE CoP will only be given to those who have appeared for and passed AIBE to continue practising law in the courtroom. Through the AIBE certificate, the BCI can keep direct contact with the lawyers. The process of obtaining AIBE COP will begin soon after an individual enrols with their respective State Bar Council on a provisional basis. Those thinking about how to get AIBE certificate, need to fill the BCI’s application form for certificate download.
