The
IIM Mumbai MBA selection criteria 2025
have been officially announced online, as per which, admissions will be based on the
CAT 2024
exam only. The minimum CAT percentile requirement for Stage 1 is 85 and above for the General category. IIM Mumbai MBA application form is now out for all interested and eligible students can apply by
January 31, 2025.
IIM Mumbai offers an MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management, and an MBA in Sustainability Management. To be eligible for the courses, you will have to hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized educational institution, with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. You can also apply if you are in the final year of graduation.

IIM Mumbai MBA Eligibility Criteria
The student must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the MBA program at IIM Mumbai. The eligibility criteria for pursuing an MBA from IIM Mumbai are as follows:
- The student must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
- For the student belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories, at least 45% marks are essential.
- The student must have a valid score in CAT 2024, conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

Stage-wise IIM Mumbai MBA Selection Process 2025
The students are selected for the MBA course based on the set procedures by the authority in IIM Mumbai. The candidate can refer to the overall selection process in the MBA course in the points mentioned below:
- Stage 1 : The candidates will be shortlisted based on the CAT 2024 score and various other parameters like reservation category, income group, etc.
- Stage 2 : For the provision of reservation category, an appropriate weightage in the overall CAT score of the candidates and sectional cut-offs by the institute shall be considered.
- Stage 3 : As per the data, the actual section-wise and overall percentile cut-offs may be much higher than the previous year’s minimum percentiles. The cutoff changes every year as it depends upon the number of factors and the number of candidates to be called for personal interviews (PI) from each category.
- Stage 4 : After the interview is conducted, the selected candidates are notified. The candidates can book the seat slot and make payment for seat confirmation. Also, the candidate must appear for the counselling process set by the institute.

In order to be eligible for the first stage of the IIM Mumbai CAT MBA selection process, you need to meet the CAT qualifying cutoff. The CAT qualifying cutoff is the minimum CAT percentile you need to score in order to be eligible for the next round of the selection process.
