JIPMER NEET Counselling 2024

Admission to MBBS courses offered at JIPMER will be done through the NEET counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Aspirants can take a look at the JIPMER NEET counselling process mentioned below:

  • Counselling Registration: Registering for the NEET counselling process is the first step that aspirants must take. The entire registration procedure is done online and aspirants must finish the registration process and pay the application fee online using a credit or debit card, net banking, or UPI, candidates must visit the MCC website.

  • Choice Filling & Locking: The next step of the NEET counselling process is to enter the choices for the preferred college aspirants to secure admission through NEET. Candidates need to choose the course/ college in the desired order of preference. Also, candidates must save a copy of the choices filled in for future reference. After candidates have filled out and verified their choices, they must lock or finalize the same for submission. It is important to note that once locked, the choices cannot be changed even by the MCC.

  • Verification by Universities and Processing of Seat Allotment: The NEET participating medical colleges will verify the student details of the candidates and based on the student profile and their NEET performance the seat allotment results will be released.

  • Release of Seat Allotment: After the due process, the MCC will announce the seat allotment result for candidates who registered and submitted their choices. The final seat allotment result will be issued once a provisional result has been announced and candidates have had a chance to voice any complaints. Once the seat allotment result is out, candidates could choose to accept or proceed to the institute reporting round based on their seat allotment. Alternatively, candidates can participate in later rounds of NEET counselling for better seat allotment by registering for further counselling sessions.

  • Reporting to Allotted College: Candidates who have accepted their seat allotment through NEET must visit their allotted college campus and complete further admission formalities. For instance, candidates who have been allotted seats at JIPMER must report to JIPMER Academic Centre on the scheduled date and time and complete formalities like Certificate Verification, Signature verification, Signing of honor code, Medical Examination, creation of digital campus account, Biometric capture, etc. After all the formalities are completed admission orders will be issued to the students.

Note: For some colleges like JIPMER, candidates will have to fill out a student verification form before reporting to the college campus.
