Also, either of the parents of the students must have studied in Karnataka for at least 7 years. Students who have passed class 12 (or equivalent exam) from any school or institute outside Karnataka can apply under the domicile criteria if either of their parents is a Karnataka domicile holder. Also, in this case, the candidate or either of the parents must have Kannada, Kodava or Tulu as their mother tongue and the student will be required to appear for the Kannada language test.
Nationality Criteria	Students must be Indian citizens to apply for Karnataka MBBS and BDS admissions 2025.
Age Criteria	Students must be no less than 17 and no more than 25 years of age as of December 31, 2025.

In accordance with the NMC bill and addressing the shortage of doctors in the government sector, the Uttar Pradesh government has mandated a two-year compulsory rural service bond.
