Counselling for PG Engineering admission at Jadavpur University is conducted by the Faculty of Engineering Technology (FET). The counseling process depends on the course you are applying for. For M.Tech, M.E and M.Arch programs, admission is based on your GATE score (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board) conducts counselling for the CIT (Calcutta Institute of Technology). The institute also accepts the JEE Main ranks, with JoSAA and CSAB counselling rounds for admissions to the Btech program. Applicants aiming to take admission to CIT should undergo the counselling process to be eligible for the seat allotment process. Applicants can secure admission in the Calicut Institute of Technology via WBJEE or JEE Main which is conducted by the National Testing Agency. Applicants need to have a valid rank, only the valid rank holders will be eligible for the counselling process.

To be eligible for admission into the M.Sc. in Petroleum Geology programme at MSU Baroda, candidates must have a minimum of 55% in their graduation.
