What is the JEE Main 2025 Percentile Score?

The expected rank of 75 percentile in JEE Mains is 2,00,001- 2,20,010. The percentile score obtained by a student in the JEE Mains 2025 exam is a measure of their performance. The marks secured by each candidate are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session. The percentile of each student is determined based on the percentage scored, which is either equal to or below the percentile in the examination. Therefore, the topper of each session (highest scorer) gets a percentile score of 100, and the marks obtained between the highest and lowest are also converted into a proper percentile score. Instead of publishing candidates' raw marks, the percentile score is normalized to help each candidate obtain a position according to merit.

How to Calculate JEE Main 2025 Percentile?

To calculate the JEE Main percentile, the total score of the candidate is taken into account. The percentage is based on the candidate's relative performance in the JEE Main exam. 100 x number of candidates that appeared in the session and scored either equal to or lesser than the candidate / total number of candidates in the session

Many students ask about the validity of scores secured in the JEE Mains exam 2025. As per the official guidelines of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the score in JEE Main is valid for 2 sessions of the same year. If someone has scored an 86 percentile score in the JEE Main Session 1 exam and 82 percentile in the JEE Main Session 2 exam, then the candidate can opt for any of the two scores in JoSAA counselling to get admission. The selection of the score through which you will take admission completely depends on the candidates they want to present to the counselling authority to get admission. However, the best of the two scores are presented to the counselling authority for admission to the engineering courses.

Dear Student,

Agar aap ka GATE score 530 hain, to NIT Durgapur, IIIT Bihar aur IITDM Kurnool mein Data Science & Artificial Intelligence course ke liye admission mil sakta hain. Agar aap OPEN Category se belong karte hain, toh NIT Durgapur mein aap ko shayad admission na mile, but OBC-NCL/ EWS ategory mein admission mil sakti hain. Aap doosre NIT colleges accepting GATE score 500-600 bhi check kar sakte hain. Unfortunately, GATE score 530 pe aap ko kisi bhi IIT mein admission nahi milegi.

We hope this answers your query. Good luck!
