Eligibility Criteria for the Institute of Hotel Management
Candidates seeking admission to IHMs must meet a set of eligibility criteria established by the central, state, and private institutes.
- A candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- A candidate must have completed class 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board or equivalent.

IHM Admissions in India 2024
Candidates can get into IHMs through NCHMCT JEE which offers both UG and PG Level degrees. NCHMCT JEE has a different syllabus for both degree levels.
Diploma & Craftsmanship Program
Candidates who have passed class 12th with English as the compulsory subject are eligible for this diploma program. The entrance exam for this course is held annually in May while the session starts in July or August.
PG Diploma Programs
Admission to PG diploma programs is done based on the undergraduate degree.
BSc HHA and MSc in Hospitality Administration Programs
For admission in the above course, the NCHM JEE entrance exam is administered as a computer-based test and its scores are considered.
The NCHMCT Joint Entrance Exam is an annual exam conducted by the NTA to grant admission to UG-level courses in hospitality courses in different IHMs in the country. Through the scores of NCHMCT JEE, students will be awarded admission to various NCHMCT JEE Participating Colleges and other HM colleges.
For admission to PG-level hospitality courses, students have to appear for the NCHMCT MSC JEE exam. It is the admission test for the MSc in Hospitality Administration course.
