Maharashtra MBBS Admission 2025

The State CET Cell of Maharashtra will facilitate Maharashtra MBBS Admission 2025, offering 10,145 MBBS and 3,526 BDS seats to various participating colleges across the state. Candidates who have qualified for NEET 2025 will be seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses at the colleges of Maharashtra by registering for the Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025. The seat allotment for MBBS programs in Maharashtra colleges will be entirely based on the NEET rank. The authorities will prepare the Maharashtra NEET Merit List 2025 for all the participating colleges based on the marks obtained by candidates in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test 2025. The candidate's NEET score 2025 should meet the requirements of the particular institute to get admission. After every round of counseling, the Maharashtra NEET seat allotment list will be published on the official portal.

The Maharashtra NEET MBBS admission process starts after the publication of the NEET UG 2025 Result . The NEET (MBBS) Admission 2025 in Maharashtra is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER). Students will be able to find all the important dates related to the Maharashtra NEET Admission 2025 on the official website of DMER. Students who are to participate in the Maharashtra state-level counselling can register at cetcell.net.in. Once the merit list is out, students whose names appear on the merit list can participate in further counselling processes like choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting at the allotted college.

The Maharashtra NEET round 2 seat allotment result is expected to be released on October, 2025. Maharashtra NEET 2025 Counselling process for MBBS and BDS courses is conducted in 3 to 4 rounds, namely. Round 1, 2, and Round 3 or Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates aspiring to secure MBBS and BDS seats in the Maharashtra colleges must meet the requisite eligibility criteria set by the authorities.   1. Qualifying Examination- The applicants must have passed the Class 12th or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects from any recognized Institute with a minimum of 50% marks

  3. Age Limit - As of 31st December 2025, the minimum age limit of applicants should be 17 years.

Maharashtra MBBS Admission: Seat Reservation Policy

Maharashtra offers reservations to students who have lived in Maharashtra for at least 10 years and those who have completed 10+2 from schools or junior colleges in the state. Maharashtra is divided into three major regions namely, Marathwada, Vidarbha and the Rest of Maharastra (RoM). Students from these regions are considered under the 70% regional quota seats offered under the 85% state quota.

Maharashtra MBBS Admission 2025: Counselling Process

For Maharashtra MBBS counselling 2025, students are required to submit their choices in order of decreasing preference. Once the choices are submitted, students will not be able to change the list of courses or colleges in the Maharashtra MBBS counselling form. Seats available in the medical colleges in the state will be allocated on the basis of the preference list provided by students and the Maharashtra State merit list based on NEET.
