Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2025
The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) in Maharashtra for the year 2025 is a standardized procedure for admissions to various professional courses offered by Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions, Government, Government Aided, and University Departments. The CAP process ensures a fair and transparent admission system based on merit and eligibility criteria. Here is an overview of the CAP process in Maharashtra for 2025:-

Registration:
The first and foremost step is to fill out the registration form. The authority accepts registrations to grant admissions to the first year of Computer Applications. Further, the admission is categorized into two categories:-
- Based on CET: If you qualify for admission based on the Common Entrance Test conducted by the competent authority, then you will be required to apply online without paying any application fee.
- Non-CET: This is for those who qualify for admission based on the National Level Examinations approved by Maharashtra State, except the CET conducted by the competent authorities. You will be required to apply online and pay the requisite fees as specified in the information brochure.
- Application Fee: The application fee will vary for different courses and categories. The mode of fee payment will be online. The fee structure details can be found in the information brochure.
- Facilitation Centers: The Competent Authority designates Facilitation Centers where you can go to fill out the Online Application Form and upload the required documents. Alternatively, you can also fill out the form and upload documents from any computer connected to the internet.
- Document Verification: You must visit the designated Facilitation Centers for document verification. It is mandatory to produce all original documents in support of the claims made in the application form. Once the application form is confirmed, no changes will be allowed.
- Display of Merit Lists: Provisional and Final Merit Lists will be displayed on the website. You can submit grievances, if any, within the specified period. However, no documents will be accepted to substantiate the claims made in the application form after the scheduled dates.
- Seat Matrix: The Competent Authority publishes the Category Wise Seats (Seat Matrix) available for each CAP Round. This information includes details about institutes, courses offered, sanctioned intake, and the number of seats available for each category.
- Online Option Form: You must fill and confirm the Online Option Form, indicating your preferences for courses and institutions before each CAP Round. The choices should be ranked in decreasing order of preference. Once confirmed, the Option Form cannot be changed.
- Provisional Allotment: The Competent Authority displays the Provisional Allotment for each CAP Round, indicating the allotted institute and course.
- Reporting and Admission: If you receive an allotment, then you must report and accept the offered seat at the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) within the specified schedule. After reporting to the ARC, you should report to the allotted institute for further admission procedures.
