In the event of two or more aspirants scoring the same marks, the Maharashtra NEET Merit List 2024 applies the following tie-breaking criteria to assign a better rank and shortlist candidates:

• Preference is given to students with higher marks in biology, followed by chemistry and physics.

• Aspirants with a lower total of negative marks in the exam are given priority over others.

• If the tie persists, students with fewer negative marks specifically in biology are preferred, followed by chemistry and physics.
