MCC NEET Counselling 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round is ongoing from November 20, 2024. The last date to register is November 21, 2024. The choice-filling process is live from November 20 to 22, 2024. The seat allotment result will be out on November 23, 2024 and the institute reporting will be conducted on November 25 till 30, 2024. Students must report to the allocated institute within the deadlines and make sure that they submit the correct documents for verification. Students must pay the admission fees for their institute of choice and confirm their seats.

Headed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee, the MCC NEET Counselling 2024 will be conducted in 5 to 6 stages, namely, Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round (Round 3), Stray Vacancy Round, Round 4 (for BDS/BSc Nursing), Special Stray Vacancy Round (for BDS/BSc Nursing). Through MCC NEET Counselling 2024, an estimate of over 1,09,145 MBBS seats, 27,868 BDS seats and 1,000 BSc Nursing seats will be allotted to eligible candidates across the medical institutes in India. Why is MCC NEET Counselling 2024 Important?

MCC NEET Counselling 2024 is important because it shortlists the deserving and eligible candidates and allows them to acquire admission in a medical college based on their score and college preference. After passing NEET UG 2024 Exam and meeting the cutoff, aspirants are invited to participate in the MCC NEET Counselling 2024. This process grants admission across the best Government/Private Medical/Dental/AYUSH colleges in India, according to their NEET UG scores and ranks, and the availability of seats in these institutes. Without the MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 participation, the said candidates would not be deemed eligible for admission into the NEET 2024 accepting colleges. It is important to note that the MCC NEET Counselling 2024 will be conducted in online mode only.

With MCC NEET UG counselling 2024, candidates may be eligible for admission to the following seats:

  • 15% of AIQ Seats across all Medical and Dental colleges in India
  • 100% of seats in the Deemed Universities across the country
  • 15% AIQ in all the Central Universities
  • 100% Seats in all AIIMS & JIPMER Institutes
  • 100% Seats in BHU and Aligarh Muslim University
  • 85% State Quota seats in Delhi University and I.P University
  • 15% IP quota seats of ESIC.

  • Candidates participating in the MCC NEET UG 2024 Counselling process must have qualified the NEET UG Exam with the specified cutoff score or above.
  • All candidates must be registered with the official website of MCC NEET Counselling 2024 to be deemed eligible for the counselling process.
  • All NEET qualifying candidates are eligible to take part in the counselling process, including the ones from J&K.
  • Candidates wishing to apply for NEET Counselling 2024 under 85% State Quota, must be registered for the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024 through the state counselling portals.

MCC NEET Counselling 2024 All India Quota (AIQ)

The AIQ Quota is reserved for candidates who secure high ranks in the qualifying examination and qualify for admission across the top medical colleges in India. To be precise, 15% of the total seats in the counselling process are reserved for eligible candidates across all medical colleges based on merit, preference and NEET UG qualification. Interestingly, the cutoff for AIQ is higher than the State Quota cut-off. Candidates seeking admission through the NEET AIQ Quota are eligible to apply for admission across any medical college in the country of their choice.

MCC NEET Counselling 2024 State Quota

While the MCC NEET Counselling 2024 is conducted centrally for admission to all medical colleges in the country, there are some state-specified admission guidelines which allow every state to conduct a state-wise selection process for domiciled candidates to take part in medical admissions in the respective states. Therefore, medical aspirants who have qualified the NEET UG Exam may apply for admission to medical colleges under the 85% State Quota, through the NEET UG Counselling process.

MCC NEET 2024 Counselling Registration Process

The step-by-step guide for MCC NEET Counselling 2024 Registration have been captured below:

1. Release of Seat Matrix

The MCC NEET Counselling 2024 process will commence after the official seat matrix is published by the DGHS at the official website. Additionally, the revised Seat Matrix after each round of counselling will be announced through the official website for candidates to participate in the following MCC NEET Counselling 2024 rounds.

2. Counselling Registration

The MCC NEET Counselling 2024 registration will be conducted for each round separately, except for the Stray Vacancy Rounds. Candidates are required to visit the official website of NEET UG 2024 Counselling, and click on ‘Round 1’ to register themselves for the counselling process. All details such as contact information, NEET UG 2024 Rank, NEET UG 2024 Score, NEET UG 2024 Roll Number, Date of Birth, etc., must be entered carefully to avoid any discrepancy. The registration process will be conducted online.

3. Counselling Registration Fee

All applicants are required to submit a requisite fee for the registration process, to confirm their participation in the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024. It is important to note that the specified registration fee is non-refundable once submitted for the registration process. The registration fee for MCC NEET Counselling 2024 application can be submitted online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI. A detailed fee structure for the MCC NEET Counselling 2024 registration has been provided below for reference:

4. Choice-Filling and Locking

Next, candidates must fill in their choices of the preferred medical institutes by logging into the official MCC portal and selecting the course and college. Candidates can fill in more than two preferred choices, and delete/modify their choices as well. Now, after the choices have been finalized, candidates are required to lock in their preferred choice of medical institute by submitting the same at the MCC portal. It is important to thoroughly check the entered choices before submitting, to avoid any last-minute confusion. Candidates must take a printout copy of their choices for future reference.

5. Seat Allotment Result

The seat allotment results after each round of MCC NEET Counselling 2024 will be published displaying the allotted medical colleges to the eligible candidates in each round. The seat allotment result is prepared based on the candidates’ choices filled in during the choice-filling round. Hence, a Provisional Allotment list is released initially after each round for candidates to view and raise objections, if any. This is followed by the publication of the final seat allotment list which is non-negotiable. Therefore, once the seats are distributed among the eligible candidates, there is no reverse process to change the seat allocation.

6. Document Verification

Once the final rounds of counselling are concluded, candidates are required to participate in the document verification process, conducted separately by both the MCC NEET Counselling body and the respective allotted colleges. Candidates are required to upload a list of the important documents to the MCC portal, to verify their candidature. Additionally, they must produce the same list of documents at the time of physical joining at the allotted college.

7. Reporting to the Assigned Colleges

In the final step of the counselling process, candidates will be given a date for reporting at the allotted colleges for final document verification. This step involves verification of the list of important documents and payment of the admission fees.

  • Seat Allotment Letter by MCC
  • NEET UG 2024 Admit card
  • NEET UG 2024 Result/Scorecard
  • DOB Certificate
  • Class 12 Certificate and Marksheet
  • Class 10 Certificate
  • Government Identity Proof (Aadhar/PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)
  • Passport-size Photographs (8 in total)
  • Candidate Category Certificate, if applicable
  • Disability Certificate, if applicable
  • Sponsorship Affidavit (only for NRI candidates)
  • Relationship with the Sponsor (only for NRI candidates)
  • Embassy Certificate (only for NRI candidates)
  • Citizenship Certificate (only for NRI candidates)
