MP NEET UG Merit List 2025 PDF Tie-Breaking Criteria

The NEET UG exam is conducted at the national level. Each year, lakhs of students take the exam to complete their studies in the medical stream. So, it is not uncommon that two or more students may score the same marks. In such cases, these tie-breaking criteria are followed:

• Candidates who will have the highest marks in the Biology section will be given preference and ranked higher

• If the tie persists, then candidates with the highest marks in the Chemistry section will be given preference

• If the tie persists, then applicants with the lowest negative marking will be given preference

• If the tie still persists, the older candidate will be given a preference
