NLU Merit List 2024: Check NLU-Wise CLAT Merit List for All Rounds

CLAT 2024 was conducted today, December 3, 2023 and the result of CLAT 2024 will be expected to be released by December 8, 2023. The CLAT merit list 2024 will be released by the Consortium of the NLUs after the declaration of the result. The candidates will get to know the date of releasing the merit list. The merit list will be released on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in after students have registered for the counselling process. The NLU merit list is very important as it will help the candidates understand who will get a seat at the National Law University (NLU) and who won’t. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is held every year for admission to UG offered by 22 NLUs and PG programmes offered by 21 NLUs. Apart from releasing the CLAT result, the exam conducting body also releases the CLAT Toppers List .

Law aspirants who will be appearing in CLAT 2024 can check out the CLAT exam analysis which will help them to get an idea of the exam. Admission to any one of the NLU (National Law University) except NLU Delhi is based on the applicant’s CLAT rank, as a candidate will be shortlisted for CLAT 2024 counselling and seats will be allocated during the CLAT 2024 seat allotment process based on the merit rank. The merit list of CLAT 2024 will only be available after the exam has been conducted. Students can, however, check the previous years’ CLAT merit list to get an idea.

There has been a change in the exam pattern of CLAT 2024 for the UG exam. So, the cutoff might vary this year. There are a number of factors on which the CLAT depends such as the total number of seats available, the number of candidates who have appeared for this year’s CLAT exam, the cutoff of the previous year, the total number of candidates who qualified and the difficulty level of the exam.

The cutoffs of CLAT are category-specific (Unreserved, SC, ST, OBC) and the 22 NLUs that participate in the CLAT counselling offer a combined intake of 2,644 seats for CLAT UG. Through the NLU merit list 2024, the students will get to know their All India Rank including category rank which will decide their seat. The CLAT seat allotment is based on the candidate’s rank in the merit list and the NLU preference stated by the candidate at the time of CLAT registration. NLU Bangalore Merit List

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is a public law school, recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and was established in 1986. It has consistently been ranked as the best law school in India with a high cutoff score. This law school offers great faculty, various facilities and different scholarship programmes. NALSAR Hyderabad Merit List

NALSAR or National Academy of Legal Studies and Research is a National Law University situated in Secunderabad, Hyderabad. By an Act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature, this law university was established in 1998. This university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has an “A” grade with a score of 3.60. WBNUJS Kolkata Merit List

One of the elite law colleges in India and established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 is the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) .

NLIU Bhopal Merit List

National Law Institute University (NLIU) was established in 1998 under NLIU Act No. 41 of 1997 of the Madhya Pradesh Legislature. NLIU is recognized by the Bar Council of India and is also a part of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) India, International Association of Law Schools (IALS) and Asian Law Institutes (AIL). Apart from all these, NLIU Bhopal has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with five foreign universities.

HNLU Raipur Merit List

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) offers quality education to its students in the field of law. It is an autonomous university in Raipur and was established in 2003 by the Government of Chhattisgarh under the Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh Act. Apart from offering an integrated BA LL.B (Hons.) and a regular LL.M course, the university also offers a PhD programme.

NLU Jodhpur Merit List

The National Law University Jodhpur or NLU Jodhpur was established in the year 1999 under NLUJ Act and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university aims at challenging the boundaries of knowledge and has produced some of the best legal scholars and lawyers.

RMLNLU Lucknow Merit List

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University established in 2005 is a public university in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. RMLNLU offers BA LL.B, LL.M and PhD programmes to aspiring law candidates.

GNLU Gandhinagar Merit List

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a public law school established under the GNLU Act 2003 by the Government of India. The university campus is spread across 50.64 acres of land and provides all the basic facilities like a library, auditorium, labs and internet. CNLU Patna Merit List

The Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) which was established in 2006 in the state of Bihar offers admission to UG, PG and research programmes in the field like BA LL.B, BBA LL.B, LL.B and LL.M. RGNUL Punjab Merit List

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law is also known as RNLU and is located in Patiala, Punjab. The university was established in 2006, accredited by the UGC and in 2019 it was ranked as the 10th law university in India by the NIRF. NLUO Cuttack Merit List

Among the 23 NLUs of India, the National Law University Odisha (NLUO) is the newly established law school. This law school was established in Cuttack, Odisha in the year 2009 and was respectively ranked 6 and 14 in the field of law by India Today and the NIRF.

MNLU Mumbai Merit List

The Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU Mumbai) was established in 2014 and is affiliated with the Bar Council of India (BCI). The university is approved by the UGC and offers a five-year integrated BA LL.B (Hons.), one-year LL.M program and PhD program. TNNLU Tiruchirappalli Merit List

In the state of Tamil Nadu, TNNLU or Tamil Nadu National Law University is the first national-level law school. The university was founded in the year 2012 under legal education by the Tamil Nasu National Law School Act, 2012. NUSRL Ranchi Merit List

In 2010, the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) was established by Act No. 4 of the Jharkhand State Assembly. NUALS Kochi Merit List

Under Act 27, the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) , Kochi was established in 2005. The Damodaram Sanjivaya National Law University also known as DSNLU is located in Visakhapatnam and was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. HPNLU Shimla Merit List

Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU Shimla) was established in 2016 by the State Government under Act 16 of 2016. From the academic year 2019-2020, HPNLU has decided to join the CLAT Consortium. HPNLU offers BA LL.B, BBA LL.B, LL.M and PhD programmes to the law candidates.
