Rajasthan MCA Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The detailed eligibility criteria for Rajasthan MCA admission for the 2023 session have been discussed below -

  • Applicants should have completed their graduation from any recognised University in a relevant subject (minimum duration should be of 3 years)

  • Applicants should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject either at the 10+2 level or at the graduation level

  • The overall aggregate score of the applicants in their respective qualifying degree exam should be more than or equivalent to 50%

  • Rajasthan domicile reserved category students can apply for MCA admission with a minimum aggregate score of 45% or more AND

  • B.Sc/BCA degree holders in Computer Science/IT can apply even if they had not studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the +2 level or graduation level

Even after fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements, the candidates are offered admission in a certain sequence described below -

Eligible candidates with a valid NIMCET score and having a domicile certificate of Rajasthan state

Rajasthan MCA Application Form 2023

Interested candidates who wish to take admission in the MCA programme offered by various Rajasthan MCA institutions have to follow the guidelines for online application form filling given below -

Step 1

Payment of Registration cum Application Fee

The applicants have to deposit the Rajasthan MCA admission (RMCAAP) application form fee, i.e INR 1,200/- through either by web-portal mode or E-Mitra Kiosk Mode. Applicants will be charged an additional amount of INR 30/- if they submit their RMCAAP application form fee through the E-Mitra kiosk mode and additional bank charges through the web-portal mode.

Step 2

Application Form Filling

Applicants have to fill the registration cum application form for MCA admission in Rajasthan. The applicants must ensure each detail they provide should be correct and not misleading. The applicants also have to upload their scanned documents like the signature, photograph, qualifying exam mark sheets etc in this step as per the specifications mentioned in the application form.

Step 3

Providing Choice of Colleges

In this step, the applicants have to provide their college choices in the order of decreasing priority.

Step 4

Reviewing of Application Form

The applicants will be given one final chance to go through their application forms to rectify any mistakes they had committed. They can edit or modify the information provided by them if they feel the same to be misleading.

Step 5

Final Submission of Application Form

Once satisfied with the entries made in the application form, the applicants have to click on the “Submit” button to submit their application form for Rajasthan MCA admissions. No changes or modifications in the application form can be done after this step. Finally, the applicants can take out a copy of the submitted application form for future use.

RMCAAP 2023 Choice Saving and Choice Locking Method

While applying for MCA admission in the state of Rajasthan, the applicants have to be aware of two important steps - Choice Saving and Choice Locking . Both the terminologies have been described vividly below -

Choice Saving -

The applicants will be given this option during the choice filling process of the application process. In this, they have to click on the “Save” option after providing the college choice every single time.  If the applicants forget to hit the “ Save ” tab every time they provide a college choice, their choices will not be saved by the system.

Choice Locking -

The applicants will be given this option at the end of the choice filling process. Once the applicants are happy and ready to go ahead with their entered options, they can click on the “ Final Lock ” tab to submit their choices. The applicants cannot add another choice or make edits to their entered choices after hitting on the “ Final Lock ” option. If the applicants forget to lock their choices before the last date, the system will automatically lock the choices on the applicants’ behalf.

RMCAAP 2023 Seat Allocation Process

On the basis of the performance of the candidates in their previous qualifying examination/entrance examination and availability of seats, the RMCAAP officials will allocate seats to the candidates on the basis of “Higher Merit Allotted First”. The candidates must carry all their original documents and certificates for the verification purpose to the allocated institute. Finally, the institutes will issue a provisional admission letter against the name of the candidates bearing the seal and signature of a competent authority of the institute. If any candidate fails to report at the allocated institution within the given timeline, his/her seat will be cancelled and those seats will be available for the “ Upward Movement ” process.

Rajasthan MCA Admission 2023  - Some Important Terms

Here are some important terms that the candidates must be aware of regarding the Rajasthan MCA admission process (RMCAAP) 2023 -

  • Upward Movement - Candidates reporting at the allocated institutions after participating in the counselling process can opt for this process either during the time of reporting at the allocated institution or after it. Those candidates who participate in the first counselling round and are not allocated seats are also eligible for the “ Upward Movement ” process.

  • New Seat Allotment - Candidates applying for the “Upward Movement” process when allocated seats and the previously allocated seats are cancelled to be made available for the other candidates.

  • Reporting after Upward Movement - Candidates allocated seats after the Upward Movement process have to visit the newly allocated institute and deposit the admission fee (if not paid earlier).

  • Non-Reporting - Candidates failing to report at the allocated institute within the given deadline lead to the cancellation of the allocated seats.

  • Dropout Seat - Candidates allocated seats either during the first counselling round or during upward movement and do not want to retain the seats after reporting at the allocated institute and applying to the Director/Principal of the institute through an application form.
