: GATE scores are a selection criterion used by a number of government-funded businesses when hiring individuals for higher-level roles. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or
GATE
, is an entrance test for post-graduate engineering programs all over the nation. However, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) use GATE scores as a qualifying standard when conducting their engineering recruiting processes. It's important to note that PSU positions in India are not exclusively determined by GATE scores because these organizations also use other selection processes. Candidate's participating in GATE 2024 exam with the gole of securing jobs in PSU must know what is passing marks. Each of the PSUs has their own GATE 2024 passing marks based on which they offer jobs to students applying. These GATE 2024 scores for PSUs varies as per the candidate's category that candidate must be aware of. GATE 2024 Eligibility Requirements for PSU Recruitment
PSUs, which are government-owned companies, hire individuals by considering their GATE scores. Securing a job in a PSU is an aspirational goal for many.
The qualifications required for PSU recruitment through GATE 2024 are outlined below:
- Citizens of India, as well as other countries like Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, UAE, and Sri Lanka, are eligible for PSU positions.
- The age requirements for general candidates range from 21 to 27 years, while for SC/ST candidates, it is between 21 and 30 years to apply for PSU positions through the GATE exam.
- Eligible candidates include those who hold relevant certifications, with B.Tech or BE graduates and final-year students being qualified for the GATE exam.
- Candidates are typically required to have a minimum of 65% marks in their graduation, although those with 70% or higher can apply to all PSUs. Possession of a GATE scorecard is necessary to apply for PSU positions.
- Following the announcement of GATE results, candidates meeting the criteria will be shortlisted for PSU positions, and a written exam will be conducted for the selected individuals.
- After the written exam, shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a Group Discussion round. Those who qualify in this round will proceed to the Personal Interview stage.
