Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology conducts its institute-level exam called SMEAT for admission to its UG and PG courses. All the important details of SMEAT 2024 have been provided in this article.

Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology released the SMEAT 2024 application form on January 10, 2024 for the round I. The last date for the same is March 27, 2024. All students who fulfil the SMEAT eligibility criteria can fill out the application forms on the official website @srishtimanipalinstitute.in. The Srishti Manipal Entrance & Aptitude Test (SMEAT) is conducted in two parts - Test 1 and Test 2. Test 1 is a General Test of Ability while test 2 is a Test of Creative Competencies. The entrance exam for B Voc will be held on April 6, 2024, and B Des/BFA on April 7, 2024 .

The Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology conducts this SMEAT entrance exam for around 300 undergraduate design SMEATs at both campuses in Bangalore and Pune. SMEAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria of SMEAT 2024 for all the programmes offered at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, and Technology have been given here. Every applicant must make sure that he/she qualifies the conditions of eligibility for the course in which he/she seeks admission. Aspirants from any nationality are eligible to apply for SMEAT 2024.

SMEAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses

  • The candidates have to complete their class 12th (or higher secondary education) from any of the following:
    • Schools under national and international boards like ISC/ CBSE/ AICE/ IB/ A Level
    • Schools affiliated to state boards, junior colleges, intermediate, PUC, HSSC, senior secondary
    • Completion of NSQF Certification Level IV
    • NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), New Delhi - Senior Secondary
    • Any State Board of Technical Education - Diploma
    • High School Diploma (from the USA or Canada)
  • The applicant must have received passing marks in all the subjects of class 12th/ qualifying degree
  • The aggregate marks of the student should not be less than 45%
  • There is no age limit for candidates to apply for bachelor programmes

SMEAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria for PG Professional Courses

  • The applicant must have completed his/ her qualifying exam by anyone of the below-mentioned college/ board:
    • A four-year undergraduate degree from a national or international university
    • Five-year undergraduate degree from a professional institute
    • Four-year graduation (undergraduate diploma in design) from a design institute
  • It is mandatory for the applicant to have received passing marks in all the exams of his/ her qualifying degree
  • The aggregate score of the candidate must be at least 45 to 50%
  • There is no age limit for the applicants who wish to take admission to the masters level programmes of the institute

SMEAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Arts Courses

  • The candidates who seek admission to the courses of MA (Full Mode), MA (Dual Mode), or PG Diploma course at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology need to have a relevant degree which can be any one of the following:
    • Three-year bachelor degree
    • Four-year undergraduate degree done from a national or international university
    • Five-year undergraduate degree from a professional institute
    • Four-year graduation (undergraduate diploma in design) from a design institute
  • Scoring passing marks in all the exams of the qualifying degree is mandatory
  • No age limit has been set by the institute for the candidates who wish to apply for the postgraduate arts courses

SMEAT 2024 Application Process

The application process of Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology can be completed in the offline mode. All candidates interested in applying for admission can find the step-by-step guide on how to apply for SMEAT 2024 below. It is important that the application process is carried out without any errors for the admission process to be smooth.

  • Step 1. Visit the official website : The candidates will have to log on to the official website of Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology
  • Step 2. Register : On the website, they will get the option of registering themselves as new users
  • Step 3. Download the application form : Once the registration is done, the candidate can download the application form of SMEAT for admission.

Candidates will need to show up and go through the interview phase of the screening process for SMEAT 2024. What is the SMEAT exam pattern?

The SMEAT exam pattern includes two parts- Test I and Test II. Test I is for General Test for Ability and Test II is for Creative Competencies test. All students have to appear in both parts. Each test is for 50 marks and 90 minutes duration.
