UCEED 2024: Seats Available for Admission/ Seat Matrix

UCEED Seat Matrix: IIT Bombay held the UCEED 2024 entrance exam on January 21, 2024. If you participated, it is crucial to know what comes next in the admission process. IIT Bombay has posted the total number of seats for UCEED 2024 on their official website, uceed.iitb.ac.in.

In a recent update, the number of seats for the B.Des program has increased from 205 to 225. This boost is due to IIT Roorkee joining the list of participating institutes in UCEED 2024 . Your performance in the UCEED entrance exam will determine your allocation to B.Des seats in the IITs. Candidates selected for UCEED counselling and seat allotment will receive provisional allotment letters via their registered email addresses or through the candidate login portal. The admission process includes three rounds of seat allocation, after which the seat allotment process will be finalized. UCEED Seat Matrix 2024 at Participating Institutes

Six institutions are participating in UCEED 2024, and the recent inclusion of IIT Roorkee is noteworthy. These institutions offer B.Des courses, and there has been an increase in the total number of seats from 205 to 225. Admission is exclusively based on the merit ranks attained in UCEED 2024.

UCEED Seat Matrix 2024 - Reservation of Seats

IIT Bombay will allocate seats for Indian nationals based on government-prescribed rules for specific categories. The reservations are as follows:

• Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS): 10% of seats in every course are reserved for students from the Economically Weaker Section.
• Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 27% of seats in every course are reserved for students belonging to the Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer category.
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of seats in every course are reserved for students from the Scheduled Caste category.
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of seats in every course are reserved for students from the Scheduled Tribe category.

Note: 5% horizontal reservation for Persons with Disability (PwD) in OPEN, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST category seats. Candidates in these categories will be qualified based on relaxed criteria. UCEED 2024 Participating Institutes - Admission Process

Students who want to go into the BDes program among the participating institutes through UCEED 2024 must qualify for the entrance exam and attain a merit rank. The UCEED question paper consists of two parts - PART A and PART B. Candidates must also note that if they don’t meet the cut-off marks for Part A, their Part B answer booklets will not be evaluated.

Only students who meet the cut-off marks will be given a merit rank and eligible for the counselling round. The seat allotment will be done based on the merit rank of the student.

UCEED 2024 Result-sharing Institutes

The UCEED result-sharing institutes do not participate in the Joint Admission Process. The counselling round will be held at the institute level for these institutes. The application for counselling will be released after the result declaration.
