Hello Vani,

Roorkee Institute of Technology or RIT Roorkee is one of the top private colleges in India, it offers a four-year-long full-time B.Tech programme and a three-year-long B.Tech Lateral Entry programme. For admission to the B.Tech courses, you must have passed class 10+2 with at least 60% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics, from a recognised board. Along with this, a JEE Main entrance exam score is also necessary for admission, followed by a personal interview session. Direct admission to the B.Tech course is only provided if you fulfil these criteria. Also, students must have physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects, with one subject out of chemistry/ technical vocational subject as the third subject at the 10+2 level.

For admission to the B.Tech Lateral Entry programme at Roorkee Institute of Technology, you must have passed with a Diploma in Engineering from any AICTE-approved institute/ recognised board/ Bachelor’s Degree/ B.Sc degree from a recognised university, with at least 45% marks. Direct admission is granted if you meet this provided criteria. Reserved category students will get a 5% relaxation in the eligibility requirement for both B.Tech and B.Tech Lateral Entry programmes. To apply for any of the courses, you can opt for an offline application or online application. For online mode, the admission form is available on the official website of RIT Roorkee, and after filling out has to be sent via courier to the admission cell of the institute. For offline application, you can visit the campus and meet the admission counsellor and fill out the admission form.
