What is a special round in JoSAA

How is CSAB different from JoSAA?

CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) and JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) are both involved in the seat allocation process for engineering admissions in India, but there are some differences between the two. The basic difference is that first, JoSAA completes its JEE Main Counselling process for admissions across IITs, NITs, and other participating colleges. Then, CSAB conducts two rounds to fill up the vacant seats (if any) of NITs, IIITs, and other colleges (this does not include IITs).

 

What is the process of fee payment & seat acceptance in JEE Main Counselling 2024?

Can I apply for the JoSAA counselling 2024 without clearing the cutoff?

Candidates can participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling and seat allocation process either via JEE Main or through JEE Advanced. If the candidate does not meet the JEE Advanced cutoff then they can try through the JEE Main cutoff. However, if the candidate does not qualify the JEEMain cutoff, then he/she cannot participate in the JoSAA counselling 2024.

 

Is there the 75 criteria for the JoSAA Counselling 2024?

Yes, for JoSAA 2024 counselling of the general category, candidates are required to secure a minimum of 75% aggregate marks. For the reserved categories, the aggregate mark to be secured is 65%. However, if the candidates come under the top 20 percentile of their board, then they will also be eligible for admission.
