PG Agriculture Admissions in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER Agriculture Council), Pune is responsible for conducting PG Agriculture admissions in Maharashtra. The eligibility criteria vary for different courses in agriculture. Candidates must fill the application form and follow the admission process to be considered for PG agriculture admission.

The Maharashtra Agriculture PG Admission process started on March 4, 2022 and MCAER PG CET 2022 result has been announced on June 27, 2022. The dates of the counselling process will be declared soon. This year around 10,000 candidates sat for the exam. Maharashtra Agriculture PG Admissions Eligibility Criteria 2022

A ratio of 70:30 between the entrance test and CGPA of the qualifying examination respectively is followed for selecting the candidates. The following table shows the list of PG agriculture courses along with their eligibility criteria:

Maharashtra Agriculture PG Admissions Application Process 2022

As we have previously mentioned, aspirants need to mandatorily appear in the  MCAER PG CET. Following are the steps to complete the application process for Maharashtra agriculture PG admissions 2022:

Step 1: Visit the official website of MCAER PG CET.

Step 2: Complete the registration process.

Step 3: On the successful registration, fill the online application form with all the required details like faculty and college etc. Only one application is accepted for a candidate.

Step 4: Upload the required documents as specified. Scan the signature and passport-sized photographs and upload the same with the application form.

Step 5: Next pay the application fees and submit the application form.

Documents Required to Submit Application Form

Following are the documents that must be uploaded with the application form:

  • Marksheet of qualifying education
  • College Leaving Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate of the candidate from Maharashtra/ other States
  • Certificate of Agriculturist. It must be issued by the Tehsildar/ Naib Tehsildar, if applicable
  • Caste certificate, if applicable
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate. It must be issued by a competent authority (if applicable)
  • Certificate of Project Affected Perso. It must be issued by the District Resettlement Officer/ an authorized officer from the Government of Maharashtra, if applicable
  • N.C.C. “B‟ or “C‟ / Air / Naval /Army wing Certificate issued by the Commandant during his degree programme
  • Certificate of Games/Sports. It must be issued by the competent authority, if applicable
  • No-Objection Certificate from the employer, if applicable
  • Certificate of Physically Handicapped, if applicable
  • Pay the application fees
  • The application fee for the PG agricultural course is Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750 for BC/ SC/ ST/ EWS candidates). After filling the online application form, candidates must submit the online application form to complete the application process.

Maharashtra Agriculture PG Admissions Counselling 2022

All the admissions for the post-graduation are done based on merit. A provisional merit list will be released on the official websites. Candidates will be offered admission letters. Seat availability will be an important factor. Candidates need to confirm their candidature by paying the admission fees. On the scheduled date of counselling they will be required to submit the required documents for verification. The application form and the documents are verified by the Dean of the Post. If any false information is found during the admission process, the authority will cancel the candidature of that candidate.

After the document verification, candidates need to register by paying the fees, enrolling the course and depositing the roaster form signed by the candidates. Payment needs to be done to Dean, Post Graduate Institute or Associate of the colleges.
