MHT CET 2025 Physics Chapter Wise Weightage: MHT CET 2025 PCB exam will be conducted from April 9 to 17, 2025 except April 10 and 14, 2025. MHT CET PCM entrance examination 2025 will be held from April 19 to 27, 2025 except April 24, 2025. The MHT CET entrance examination is held every year to grant admission to eligible candidates into undergraduate engineering programmes offered by institutes across Maharashtra. MHT CET Physics Difficulty Level
According to the analysis of the MHT CET Physics section of the previous year, the difficulty level of all the shifts collectively was ranging from moderate to difficult. The topics with high weightage were wave optics, thermodynamics, laws of motion, capacitance and resistors, electrostatics and current electricity and magnetism. The total number of questions was 50 and 37+ was considered to be a good attempt. The difficulty level of the Physics section was higher than JEE Mains. Some questions from JEE Main 2027 and 2018 were asked. 20 to 22 questions were straightforward emphasizing on basic theory knowledge and formulas whereas other questions were lengthy.

The MHT CET question paper will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) having four options with one correct answer.
The questions in the MHT CET exam will be based on the syllabus of the State Council Of Educational Research And Training, Maharashtra. Approximately 20% weightage will be given to the Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std.XII curriculum while setting the MHT CET question paper.
As per the MHT CET 2025 exam pattern, the MHT CET exam will be conducted online as a computer based test. MHT CET question paper 2025 will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) having four options with one correct answer. There will be no negative marking in the MHT CET 2025 exam.
Since, the MHT CET exam is based on the combination of Std. XI & XII HSC syllabus, it is extremely crucial that you have thoroughly studied your State board text books for the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. However, to get that extra competitive edge over others, it is highly recommended to go through the NCERT books completely.
MHT CET has a high difficulty level but qualifying the exam with good marks is not so challenging since the competition is less. If you are preparing for the JEE Main exam you can easily crack the MHT CET exam.
Ideally, 3-month time is considered to be good enough for completing the MHT CET 2025 preparation. Students who have started preparing for MHT CET from class 11 or 12 can easily prepare for the MHT CET 2025 exam in 6 months considering the topics of the MHT CET syllabus 2025 have already been studied in class 11 and 12.
As per the MHT CET syllabus 2025 and the weightage of PCM and PCB prescribed by the Maharashtra CET Cell, 20% weightage is provided to the Class 11 topics and the remaining 80% weightage is allotted to the Class 12 topics of the Maharashtra Board.
Revise your concepts thoroughly. Do not engage in rote memorization. Just attempt to figure out where each formula came from. RS Agarwal books would be really beneficial in opening your analytical mind. If you have time, try answering problems from that book and looking up Objective Physics.
Except for Math, each question in the MHT CET is worth one mark (2 marks). The exam has a total time limit of 180 minutes. You will have three hours to answer 150 questions.
Everything is covered in the textbooks for classes 11 and 12. Conversion of Units from One System to Another, Units of Physical Quantity, Atomic and Nuclear Physics, Pressure, Sound Wave, Light, Electricity, Simple Harmonic Motion, Graviton, and other topics are readily discovered in the major books.
Kinetic theory and Motions have the highest weightage in MHT CET Physics. Fractions and force are also important topics. Along with this, scalar and vector quantities such as mass, speed, volume, work, time, power, energy, displacement, velocity, acceleration,force etc., must be covered for good scores.
As per the exam pattern of MHT CET 2025, the paper is conducted in three languages; Urdu, Marathi and English provided that, in case of any objection, all the decisions should be made based on the questions that are formed in English.
