NIFT Situation Test Previous Year Questions: The NIFT 2025 entrance examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 9. If you are looking to apply, the application process is open from November 22, 2024, to January 6, 2025. The NIFT entrance examination has multiple stages, and the Situation Test is the last and most crucial one. This test is meant to check your creativity, material handling, organizational abilities, and interpersonal aptitude. The NIFT situation test is taken to evaluate the innovative and creative skills of the candidates. It is an on-the-spot design test to judge a candidate's practical skills. There is a 20% weightage given to the NIFT Situation Test of the total weightage, CAT has the highest weightage of 50% and GAT holds 30% weightage.

What is the NIFT Situation Test?

The NIFT Situation Test is a practical test administered by NIFT to students who have made it past the written entrance exams. This is two hours long and tests a student's creativity, innovation, and material-handling skills within time. In this test, the student will be provided with materials and asked to develop a model based on the instruction. The situation test is another major screening process for B.Des in NIFT. The tests are conducted offline on specific campuses of NIFT. To be eligible for this test, one needs to clear the written components of the NIFT entrance exam, namely the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT).

NIFT Situation Test Models

In preparing for the NIFT Situation Test, you would encounter a three-tiered process. These are creative and problem-based. For this test, you would be presented with making a 3D model as a product, a space, or a place. You will have the freedom to pick one out of the three questions to accomplish within two hours without any material except that presented to you. You will also write a detailed explanation of your model as part of the evaluation. The write-up should cover aspects such as the inspiration behind your creation, techniques used, practicality, title you have chosen, and other relevant details. Mastery of both artistic and descriptive elements is key to achieving this test.

NIFT Situation Test Questions 2022

NIFT Situation Test 2022 was conducted for the students who qualified in the initial rounds by clearing NIFT CAT and NIFT GAT  examinations. The question for the same is not available as the PDF has yet not been uploaded on the official website. We will update the same once it is notified by the concerned authorities.

NIFT Situation Test Questions 2021

The NIFT Situation Test Question paper for the year 2021 is not available as it could not be conducted due to

COVID-19 pandemic. The candidates who appeared for the online test CAT and GAT were selected based on marks scored by them on both tests.

NIFT Situation Test Questions 2020

NIFT Situation Test 2020 was cancelled in the year 2020 and hence there are no questions available for the same. The situation test for BDes was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic which disturbed the education sector the most along with other sectors. The students were selected based on their performance in NIFT CAT and NIFT GAT only. The aspirants must check the question paper of the previous year to get an idea about the type of questions that are asked in the Situation Test.
