JoSAA Spot Round Counselling 2025: After completion of all the six rounds of JoSAA counselling the spot round counselling of JoSAA 2025 will begin. Candidates who were not allotted seats and applicants who did not participate in the other rounds of JoSAA counselling will be eligible to take part in the JoSAA 2025 spot round counselling. The tentative dates of JoSAA spot round counselling 2025 will be announced by the authorities after the completion of all the rounds of the counselling process. Seats remaining vacant after the completion of six rounds will be allotted to candidates who are participating in the spot-round counselling process. Who is Eligible for JoSAA Spot Round Counselling 2025?

Candidates must take note that the most important eligibility criteria to participate in JoSAA 2025 spot round counselling is that every applicant should have a valid JEE 2025 rank and fulfil all the JoSAA eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for JoSAA spot round counselling 2025. Moreover, candidates who have participated in earlier rounds of counselling but were not allotted seats and applicants who did not take part in the JoSAA counselling process at all can also participate in the JoSAA spot round for admission in the various participating colleges. However, candidates must note that every institute will release their number of seats that are vacant for each course and spot round of admission will take place only for that respective course and seats that are vacant.

Spot Round Counselling of JoSAA 2025 - Detailed Procedure

Candidates not allotted seats in the respective rounds of JoSAA counselling and also the applicants who did not appear for the counselling process are eligible to participate in the spot round counselling of JoSAA 2025. Applicants willing to participate in the spot round of counselling have to login in the official portal and complete the following process mentioned below.

  • Online Registration for Spot Counselling: The first step of JoSAA spot counselling is the registration process. All candidates are advised to successfully complete the registration before the deadline. To register every candidate has to login using their credentials like JEE Main roll number or JEE Advanced roll number and password. After entering the roll number, candidates have to validate the fetched details respectively
  • Payment of Online Participation Fee of Spot Round: Every candidate participating in the spot round is required to pay the participation fee. A candidate who has already paid the fees do not have to pay the second time
  • Choice Filling: All provisionally admitted candidates must include their previously assigned institute as one of their filled choices at any position in the spot round of choices in order to participate in the spot round. Due to the possibility of a few virtual vacancies occurring during processing, all choices will be displayed to the candidate during choice submission, regardless of whether a seat is available or not
  • Seat Allotment: After marking all the choices by the candidates, the authorities will release the seat allotment result for spot round on their official website
  • Reporting at Centre: Candidates getting an allotment must report at the allotted college on the designated date as mentioned by the authorities. Applicants are required to pay the requisite admission fee and confirm their JoSAA spot round 2025 admission

How to check the JoSAA seat allotment result?

JoSAA is in charge of releasing the seat matrix for the participating colleges on its official website, josaa.nic.in. This JoSSA matrix displays the available seats for each B. Tech course across the NITs, GFTIs, IIITs and IITs. Admission into these institutes is determined by the JEE Main entrance exam scores.
