The Indira Gandhi National Open University was set up in 1985. The IGNOU admission to most of the courses is based on merit, while for some courses like MBA and B.Ed, an entrance test is conducted.
Courses are delivered in a flexible manner and through digital channels like the E-Gyankosh and E-Content apps of IGNOU, radio broadcasts, as well as online resources. The course fees are affordable and range from Rs 4,000 to Rs 30,000 per year. The university also has thirty-five academic counsellors who assist students for all doubts and queries.
