Male applicants: Maximum age 25 years for the General category, 28 years for the OBC (NCL) category, and 30 years for the SC/ST category.

5% relaxation on eligibility marks for SC/ST applicants (not applied to English marks). 

5% relaxation on English marks for natives of Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands who belong to recognized Scheduled Tribes of the islands.

Medical Certificate requirement 

Physical Fitness: You will be required to produce a certificate of medical fitness issued by doctors approved by the Directorate General of Shipping at the time of admission.

Eye Sight:

  • There shall be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye or of the lids of either eye which may be liable to risk of aggravation or recurrence.
  • You must possess good binocular vision (Fusion faculty and full field of vision in both eyes). Movement of the eyeballs must be full in all directions, and the pupils should react normally to light and accommodation.
  • Normal colour vision shall be tested by the Ishihara Test Chart. Distance Vision unaided 0.5*(6/12) in each eye or 0.67*(6/9) in the better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in the other eye.
