How will the AILET 2025 merit list be prepared for BA LLB?

• During the marks calculation of AILET 2025, the officials follow the standard marking scheme of AILET. The AILET 2025 for BA LLB has three sections.
• Other than the significant sections (English Language, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning), the Logical Reasoning may have questions on legal principles.
• The Logical Reasoning section will test the candidates' logical aptitude and does not require any legal knowledge or expertise.
• AILET 2025 will have a negative marking scheme. 0.25 marks will be subtracted for every wrong response, and +1 will be added for each proper attempt.
• If two or more students earn similar marks in the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), their merit will be evaluated based on better marks in the AILET 2025 Logical Reasoning part.

How will the AILET 2025 merit list be prepared for LLM?

Here are the major guidelines followed during AILET merit list preparation for LLM - 

• The AILET 2025 for the LLM program will be classified into two parts. Section A will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, and Section B will consist of two descriptive questions.
• The marking scheme for Section A will be the same as that of BA LLB sections.
• Based on the total marks obtained in Section A, the University will produce a list consisting of thrice the number of seats for every category of applicants, bearing in mind the University's reservation policy. Section B candidates will only be evaluated if they are on this list.
• The overall rank list will be created by combining Sections A and B scores.

AILET 2025 Tie-Breaker Policy

Following are the major factors in a tie-breaker event in AILET 2025 - 

• If two or more applicants get exact marks at the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), their merit will be decided based on age. 
• Senior applicants will get preference in case of a tie-breaker.
• The authorities will organize a computerized draw.
• This will apply to both BA LLB and LLM.
• In the case of AILET for BA LLB, the Logical Reasoning Section will be a crucial differentiator. The higher individuals score in this domain, the more likely they are to enter the merit list in the event of a tie-breaker.
