Methods of Ranking and Rules of Tie Breaking for CEE AMPAI WB 2024

There are separate merit lists in B.Tech and B.Pharm, Sikh Minority Students, and Other Category Students. The merit list for successful candidates in the Engineering category is prepared by listing them in the descending order of the total marks scored by them.

Rules for Tie Breaking

• More marks in Mathematics and Physics taken together.

• More marks in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together.

• More marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions.

• More marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions.

• More marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions

For Pharmacy, a separate merit list is prepared. The list is be prepared as per the descending order of the total marks scored by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biological Science, whichever is greater.

Rules for Tie Breaking

• More marks in 3rd subject (Mathematics/Biology) and Physics taken together.

• More marks in 3rd subject (Mathematics/Biology) and Chemistry taken together.

• More marks in 3rd subject (Mathematics/Biology) for only the 2 marks questions.

• More marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions.

• More marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions.

In case the tie still remains, then the same is broken based on the date of birth (DOB) of the concerned candidates. Priority is given to the older candidate.
