Detailed Eligibility Criteria for NEET SS 2024

Candidates should carefully review the criteria below to check if they meet the requirements for the exam. But remember, meeting these criteria doesn't mean candidates are automatically admitted to Super Speciality courses.

  1. Education Requirements: Candidates need a post-graduate medical degree (MS/ MD/ DNB) from a recognized institution.

  2. Provisional Pass Certificate Allowed: Even if candidates have a Provisional Pass Certificate or a similar document, they can apply for the exam.

  3. Deadline for Showing Qualifications: If candidates don't have the required qualifications yet, they must show proof by the given deadline. If not, they won't be considered eligible.

  4. When Postgraduate Degree Must Be Done: Candidates can only qualify for NEET SS 2024 if they finish their postgraduate degree by November 30, 2024.

  5. What Happens If Not Eligible: If candidates are found ineligible at any stage, they won't be allowed to take the exam. This will also cancel their NEET SS 2024 result if they've taken the exam.

  6. Who Needs to Register: If candidates are from India, they need to be registered with a State Medical Council or the Medical Council of India (MCI). But if they're foreign nationals, they can take the exam without MCI registration.

  • To apply for NEET SS 2024 Application Form, candidates must hold a proper Post Graduate degree or a Pass Certificate in MS/MD/DNB or its equivalent by September 30, 2024.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has elaborated the NEET SS 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals in the information brochure for all interested candidates to refer to. Apart from Indian Citizens, Foreign Nationals such as Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Non-Resident Indians (NRI), and others are also eligible to participate in the NEET SS 2024 Exam Application process as per the NEET SS 2024 Eligibility Criteria.
