SLAT Exam Centres

Some of the important pointers regarding SLAT exam centres are as follows -

  • Once a candidate has paid for SLAT, no requests for test city changes will be considered. The test city is assigned according to the date of payment for the SLAT. The earlier the candidates paid, the better the chances of receiving their preferred Test City.
  • It is recommended that candidates pick which examinations they want to take before registering, as test centre capacity is restricted in computer-based tests.
  • The Admit Card will include the Test Center's name and address.
  • While every effort will be taken to guarantee that the applicant receives the test city of his or her choice, in some unusual cases, a separate test city in a location nearby may be assigned.
  • In the case that the requested city is unavailable for any reason, the Symbiosis Test Secretariat has the option to alter or allot a location other than the one selected by the candidate.
  • Schedules and the nature / structure of the test may change due to unavoidable circumstances, and all tests may be conducted wholly online, entirely offline, or in a hybrid of both formats at the discretion of SIU.

How to prepare for SLAT

SLAT is one of the most prominent law entrance tests and might be challenging to pass. Candidates should prioritise achieving a strong score over simply passing the exam and being invited to the WAT and PI stages. A high SLAT score increases candidates' chances of admission to their preferred Symbiosis schools.

Here are some pointers for candidates to consider as they prepare for the exam.

Tips for SLAT Subject-Wise Preparation

Preparation for the SLAT Analytical and Logical Reasoning

Each segment will contain 12 questions. Regular practice can help candidates prepare for these areas. They should concentrate on speed and precision when practising logical and analytical reasoning. Candidates can prepare for the SLAT logical and analytical reasoning section by working through previous year question papers and sample papers.

Preparation for the SLAT Legal Aptitude Section

Questions in this part will cover a wide range of legal issues, including constitutional law, polity, torts, contract law, and legal current events. Candidates should first focus on conceptual development and then practise mock tests to shape their preparation.

Preparation for the SLAT Reading Comprehension Section

This portion assesses the reading and analytical abilities of the aspirants. Candidates are quizzed on passage comprehension questions. They must attentively read the material and respond to the underlying questions. The questions could be about vocabulary, fill in the blanks, grammar, antonyms and synonyms, and so on. Candidates might study a typical grammar book and a daily newspaper to prepare for this section. Reading articles and editorials is the best way to develop reading habits.

Preparation for the SLAT General knowledge Section

In this segment, questions about general knowledge and current events will be asked. General knowledge questions in Class 12th are largely about history, geography, and politics. Current affairs questions can be posed about national and worldwide events, awards, sports, international issues, and other topics.

Reading a reputable newspaper on a daily basis and a monthly current affairs journal / magazine will greatly assist candidates in preparing for current events. A standard book, such as Lucent GK, can be used to prepare general knowledge.

SLAT Admit Card

Aspirants can access the SLAT admit card online by logging into the SIU's examination portal. The admit card is required for participation in the examination. It will include information such as the exam centre's name, address, roll number, and candidate's name, as well as exam instructions. Candidates should keep their SLAT admit card safe until the admission process is completed. During the paperwork verification process, they will be required to provide their SLAT admit card.

SLAT Result

Candidates will have the option to download their SLAT scorecards online by logging into the result portal. To get the SLAT results, they will need to enter a SET ID and password. The scorecard will include information such as the candidate's marks, rank, and qualification status.

How to get the SLAT results?

  • Visit the set-test.org; the official website of SET.
  • Select the SLAT score card link and log in with the SET ID and password.
  • The scorecard will appear on the screen.
  • Get the scorecard and store it for future use.
